Coles is changing the way you buy roast chickens - what do you think of it?

Rotisserie chickens are changing with a new reveal from the supermarket chain.

There's nothing much more Australian than a hot rotisserie chicken and a few bread rolls, feeding and satisfying many on a great budget.

Since Coles introduced their hot chickens, it's been a staple for many weekend picnics and quick dinners.

But the supermarket chain has revealed a very big update with their cooked chooks, introducing a brand new flavour to the mix: Mexican-flavoured Hot Roast Chicken.

The new flavour is already on sale for $12 available at all Coles outlets in the deli section of the supermarket.

“We’ve introduced a new Mexican flavoured hot roast chook for customers who are looking to save time on home-cooked roasts,” a Coles spokesperson said.

“The Coles Australian RSPCA Approved Mexican Flavoured Hot Roast Chicken uses responsibly sourced chicken and has a delicious Mexican flavoured brine, stuffing core and sprinkle.

“It’s freshly cooked in-store and ready to serve, responsibly sourced, Australian farmed and has no artificial colours and flavours.”

And the Mexican-flavoured chicken isn't the only new addition to the meat section, as Coles also announced they're releasing a roast beef for last-minute dinners.

“We’ve also introduced a new Australian Hormone Free Roast Beef to help time-poor customers with a convenient, quick and easy meal solution for lunch and dinner,” the spokesperson added.

“The hot roast beef is seasoned and slowed cooked for 8 hours.”

We're yet to hear reviews of the new Mexican-flavoured chicken and its beef counterpart, but we're loving this progressive take to modern shopping.
