Clear coffee has been invented to help stop those teeth stains

What is ‘clear coffee’ – the new caffeinated beverage that won’t stain your teeth?

A new product hitting the shelves overseas claims it will cure your morning caffeine cravings, but without one particular unwelcome side effect.

Coffee is among the worst offenders when it comes to teeth discolouration, and if you’re currently courting more than a cup-a-day habit, you may find your pearly whites turning a lovely shade of beige.

Clear coffee claims it’s here to change that.

The brand CLR CFF, registered in Slovakia but devised by two London-based brothers, claims it has created the first colourless coffee in the world.

According to the website, CLR CFF is made with high quality Arabica coffee beans and pure water.

The website contains little information about how clear coffee was achieved but states it was “produced by methods which have never been used before.”

Co-creator David Nagy told The Evening Standard it was based on “physical processing” and it took them three months to perfect the formula.

The product also doesn’t contain any preservatives, artificial flavours, stabilisers, sugar or sweeteners.

In terms of taste, the creators claim it tastes just like a cold brew!

The product is currently for sale in supermarkets across the UK, but is also available online for shipping to the US. The product isn’t available in Australia at present, but if you’re heading to the UK, pick up a bottle and tell us your thoughts.
