The humble chocolate milkshake is getting a shake up!
There have been a few mash-ups over the years that have seen a tasty twist on alcoholic beverages.
But this latest offering might just be the most intriguing combo yet.
While beer and chocolate milkshakes have an equally loved-up following on their own, what happens when they get mixed together?
One Aussie brewery has come up with the answer, saying it’s ‘just like a chocolate milkshake, only boozy’.
Sparkke Change Beverage Company is putting the two flavours to the test, mixing them together to create a Chocolate Milkshake Stout, which they’ve named the ‘Better Lait Than Never’.
The beer has been described on the brewery’s Instagram page as being, “a Chocolate Milkshake Milk Stout which has (literally) got everyone talking.”
“Think full-bodied chocolate with a creamy milkshake sort of sweetness - only boozy at 6% ABV. It's the season-perfect stout to enjoy in the spring sun on the rooftop at our pub.”
The beverage has a creamy taste that come from adding lactose and higher mash conditions.
The female-led brew pub behind the genius combo including resident brewer Carla Naismith is all about creating quality specialty beers at their nano-brewery.
For now, the not-so-average-combo can only be found on tap at Sparkke’s Adelaide brewery at Whitmore Square.
