For all the people who claim to eat kale because it "tastes good"...
Introducing, kale-flavoured chocolate.
While the mere mention of it is enough to make a chocolate-lover's blood run cold, confectionery giant Cadbury seems to be more optimistic.
The company has set itself up as an innovator of chocolate flavours, recently adding Vegemite, truffle and salted-caramel flavours to their repertoir.
Now, they're looking to test new flavours inspired by superfoods, such as 'Kale Creme','Wasabi Crunch', and 'Betroot Jelly'.
However, while the experiment is indeed happening - don't expect to see these treats in supermarkets any time soon.
"We like to think of it as akin to the fashion catwalk — we’re experimenting with ideas that won’t actually appear on the shelves," Mondelez Europe's chocolate innovator Dave Shepard told News Corp.
“Instead you may see new flavours inspired by these further down the line. This reflects how we’re always innovating to create the best possible products for our consumers, developing hundreds of flavours before selecting the winning few.”
So far, the people don't appear to be too pleased:
