Bundaberg rum has been an Australian staple drink for generations, normally paired with the delights of tumbler of coke. However, there's now a new partner to Bundy rum in the latest dessert offering from Harry's ice cream.
The ice cream company have partnered with Bundaberg rum to create two unique flavours of ice cream, highlighting the iconic rum flavour we've all at least tried once in our lives.
Served in generous-sized clear tubs, the Pineapple Coconut Rum flavour has a coconut ice cream base with a tropical pineapple ripple, while the Rum and Raisin is described to have a 'complex and smooth' rum flavour with plump raisins added for sweetness.
And while the flavour is designed to taste just like Bundy rum, there's in fact no alcohol content included.
Although, all it would need is a tipple of the rum over the ice cream or shaken up as a boozy thickshake to get the full effect. We're sure some people can get creative.
The ice cream was first released in January, however Harry's have confirmed that the Bundy dessert is currently only available in Queensland IGA supermarkets.
In the meantime, we can think of some ways to create our own rum-inspired desserts...
