Foodies, rejoice! South Bank’s signature food and lifestyle event, Regional Flavours, is returning this winter.
Now in its eighth year, the festival is bigger and better with something for everyone. Held from July 16 to July 17, the festival offers two jam-packed days of entertainment, cooking demonstrations, live music, delicious food and fresh produce.
Nestled within South Bank's glorious parklands and brimming with culinary talent, the festival offers an array of exciting events throughout the weekend, including some new and some returning favourites:
Conducted on the main stage, EAT-SHOW-TELL is a tasty amalgamation of free demonstrations from celebrity chefs and experts. Take a seat and absorb new techniques and recipes from around the globe. With culinary icons such as Maggie Beer, Adriano Zumbo, Paul West and Miguel Maestre, it's safe to say that it'll be a hot spot, so secure a spot early!
The Epicurious Garden
Paul West from River Cottage Australia, alongside other experts, will conduct a number of insightful demonstrations on farm-to-fork cooking. Learn about sustainability and how to reconnect your kitchen with the land, while enjoying the tranquility of South Bank's famed Epicurious Garden.
If wine, cheese and learning is your thing then the Queensland Taste stage will be right up your alley. Sample some of the best tipples and tasting plates as you savour a series of cooking masterclasses by local experts in the winter sunshine.
The Hunting Club
Championing Queensland's best meat and malt, the Hunting Club is a lively pop-up bar and bistro providing a full paddock to plate experience. Feast on meaty morsels from local graziers and wash it down with a few boutique brews as you learn from the experts how to prepare and pair.
