Ben & Jerry's new flavours make ice cream for breakfast OK

Ben & Jerry’s have revealed ‘Cereal Splashback’, a new set of flavours inspired by the sweet milk left over in our cereal bowls.

While we may have tried – most of us probably weren’t allowed a scoop or two of ice cream at breakfast time in our childhood years. And it’s probably not a part of our regular morning meals these days either.

However, Ben & Jerry’s have decided to marry up a touch of nostalgia with a little ice cream indulgence for a new flavour duo that recalls sweet breakfast cereals.

Called ‘Cereal Splashback’, the new cereal-inspired range has been created to transport us back to childhood breakfast time, savouring the last spoonful of sugar-sweet Fruit Loops, the honeyed crunch of Corn Flakes, or the chocolate milk remains of a cherished bowl of Coco-pops.

The two new flavours include Frozen Flakes – with velvety ice cream flavoured just like sweet cereal milk, and swirls of crunchy cereal flakes.

Then there’s Cocoa Loco, which features chunks of chocolate cereal, and should send you straight back to squabbling with your siblings over the only box of chocolate flavoured cereal in the Kellogg’s Variety Pack.

The new flavours are available in Ben & Jerry's Scoop Stores as of September 4.
