An article in today's Sydney Morning Herald is extolling the virtues of mushrooms and green tea in a woman's diet to help prevent breast cancer.
The study, completed by the University of Western Australia, surveyed 2000 Chinese women (half of whom had breast cancer) and compared their diets. The women who consumed the most fresh mushroom were two-thirds less likely to develop breast cancer.
The article also refers to a study in the International Jounal of Cancer illustrating that women who drank green tea also reduced their risk of developing the cancer.
