Australia's top 10 restaurants, as voted by chefs

Ever wondered which restaurants top Aussie chefs love to eat at? Announced in Sydney last night, these are Australia's top restaurants for 2018, as voted by our very best restaurateurs, chefs, and service people.

Australia's Top 100 Restaurants for 2018 have been revealed.

Among the top-billed is a selection of our renowned fine-diners, but also more relaxed, casual wine-bars-with-food, as well as regional restaurants worth the road trip.

At the ceremony hosted at the Art Gallery of NSW last night, Lifestyle favourites Matt Moran and Claire Hooper took a break from shooting season four of The Great Australian Bake Off to play host to the head chefs, restaurant-owners, floor managers, sommeliers, and waitstaff from 100 of the country's best venues.

Chef Matt Morand and Great Australian Bake Off host, Claire Hooper announce the winners.

Held annually, the Top 100 accolade is extra-special, as all of the place-holders are voted in by their peers. On the list are restaurants that our favourite chefs have eaten at and loved, led by other chefs and staff they revere and respect.

So, if you're in need of a little dining-out inspiration, this round-up of hotspots across the country has to be a pretty perfect place to start.

Here, we break down a little of what to expect from each of the restaurants that made this year's top 10.
