Anna Polyviou's Sweet Street Festival

Sweet Street is not your average food festival. Held at Sydney’s prestigious Shangri-La Hotel, the annual festival is a wild mix of award-winning taste makers, party beats and sweet, sweet treats.

Sadly, the tasty event is over for another year and we're still nursing our sugar hangovers, but we're hooked and we'll be returning next year without a doubt!

Lead by Executive Pastry Chef Anna Polyviou, aka ‘the punk princess of pastry’, the deliciously decadent festival encourages people to have fun with their food while exploring the incredible breadth of talent in Sydney’s current food scene. From floating cones and truffle soft serve to breakdancing and chocolate baklava, the drool-worthy event was one for all five senses.

The sold out evening showcased some of Sydney’s most celebrated dessert aficionados including N2 Extreme Gelato, Butter, Bearded Bakers, BlackStar Pastry, Good Times Artisan Ice Cream, MakMak Macarons, Thievery, Doughnut Time, Cacao Barry Kiuds, and of course, Anna Polyviou.

Always one for fun and creativity, Anna knows how put on a party. “Sweet Street is all about collaborations and bringing my friends together to create an epic event where people have fun, eat a lot of dessert and meet sweet creators,” Anna said.

Eat a lot of dessert indeed. *Pats tummy*
