Aldi are to launch a Thermomix-style kitchen appliance for just $299!
And, at just a fraction of the $2,269 you'd spend on a Thermomix TM6, it's little wonder that shoppers are already desperate to get their hands on one.
The Mistral Thermo Cooker comes with a two-litre stainless steel bowl, 800 watt motor and 1000 watt heating power as well as 10 different speeds.
You'll also get a steamer unit, chopping blade, mixing tool and recipe book, when it goes on sale on September 7.
And while you won't get all of the 20 functions included in the Thermomix TM6, it certainly has enough to impress most home cooks.
The Aldi appliance boasts it can, “chop, mince, cook, boil, beat, knead, blend, stew, stir, steam, grate, saute, mix, melt, mill, whip and even crush ice and grind nuts.”
As soon as news of the Thermomix look-a-like was shared on the Facebook page Markdown Addicts Australia, eagle-eyed shoppers were quick to point out that it had already been on sale at Big W and Spotlight and it had won rave reviews.
"For the price this is amazing!" said one fan. "Couldn't love it more."
According to Aldi, these are the features of their new mega-machine:
- 2-litre stainless steel bowl
- Integrated scale function
- Reverse Function
- 10-speed mixing
- 1000W heating power
- 800W motor
- Double safety lock
- 3-year warranty

Now, how quickly do you think they will sell out?
