Aldi are selling 1-litre bottles of rosé - for under $10!

This is not a drill! Your 'cost per cup' just got a whole lot more affordable.

It really can be a case of 'rosé all day' thanks to the delicious new bulk offering from Aldi. Currently on sale for a limited time only - as part of their Special Buys - the French Grand Sud Rosé 2018 is sold in a 1-litre bottle and represents some amazing value at just $8.99!

However, after the sale is over (or more likely, there's a stampede of wine-lovers buying up big at Aldi stores Australia-wide) you can still set your sights on a good-value, blush-hued tipple.

Here are Aldi's tips for selecting the perfect rosé:

Colour

Colour is often determined by skin contact and the grape variety. Generally, but not always the wines with the most colour, can be the most fruity, sometimes sweet and the wines with the paler colour tend to be softer, more elegant and drier. Our preference on colour is having a ballerina pink.

Aroma

Aromas can be varied, but usually have aromas of red fruits such as strawberry, cherry, raspberry, citrus and white fruits.

Balance

Balance is about having the right mix of acidity, fruit flavour and residual sweetness.

Age

We recommend drinking rosé young and fresh, and within 18 months of release.
