When a woman ordered a cake with the top to be left blank, the request was taken very literally.
Supermarket giants are now lifting their cake-game, selling pre-made cakes for affordable prices to shoppers around the country. And while they even take bespoke orders to write a personal message on the cakes, they may need to work on their creative control.
A woman from Mayfield, NSW took to social media recently to share her hilarious experience when she ordered a cake from a supermarket giant.
Upon ordering, she put a request in to leave the top of the cake blank - and the supermarket did just as she asked.

"This is not a joke," the shopper posted. "This is the cake collected from Mayfield Woolworths this morning for a work event today.
"Thank you for the laughs. Everyone thought it was hilarious! And it tasted delicious," she added.
Amy's post immediately attracted a huge social media reaction:
"That is gold," one user wrote.
The supermarket also saw the hilarity in the order, and took to the platform to share their own response:
"WOW Amy! We've got no words - you've left US blank!," a spokesperson said. "When our bakers say they'll follow all instructions, they literally follow all instruction.
"We're glad our Mayfield team could provide you with a little giggle today, and we'll be sure to let them know. Also, we totally agree - this looks absolutely delicious!"
Be careful what you wish for!
