5 celebs who are surprisingly good home cooks

Not only can they act and sing, these household names are also super-talented in the kitchen

Turns out, celebrities aren't all about eating out 100 per cent of the time, or having their meals prepared by their live-in chef.

Sure, some of them are probably guilty of never setting foot in their own kitchen, but for a lot of famous faces, the joy of making a home-cooked meal is celebrated and adored. We tracked down seven celebs you might be surprised to see slaving over a stove.

Lady Gaga

With a rich Italian background such as Lady Gaga's, it's heart-warming to know that she fully embraces her heritage and loves to cook authentic fare. So much so, she even released a cookbook with her dad, with recipes from their family restaurant.

Julia Roberts

How does someone like Julia Roberts maintain such a 'normal' existence? By doing everyday domestic chores and having sensible hobbies. During an interiew with Marie Claire, the Pretty Woman actress revealed that she's very family-oriented, cooking three home-cooked meals a day and sewing in her spare time.

David Beckham

He's been a star on the soccer field, and now David Beckham is kicking goals in the kitchen, too. He recently shared his culinary prowess on his Instagram stories, where he documented his carbonara and lamb steak searing skills. He's also mentioned in the past that pal Gordon Ramsay taught him the secret to an amazing beef wellington. Delicious.

Boy George

After he discovered a macrobiotic diet, Boy George experienced a new bill of health and was inspired to create a cookbook with his macro mentor, Dragana Brown. The pair presented a whole range of scrumptious recipes that are good for your gut, including crunchy filo parcels, sizzing soba noodles and apricots with vanilla.

Oprah

She may be one of the most powerful women in the world, but even Oprah enjoys taking time out in the kitchen. She loves making breakfast for Stedman - she's apparently known for her southern corn fritters; his favourite breakfast dish. However, the health-conscious talk show host instead opts for boiled eggs over a bed of kale and quinoa with a tomato-based sauce. It still sounds pretty tasty!
