In the brand new series of World Kitchen, New Zealand chef Nici Wickes travels the world to gain ideas and inspiration for new dishes to recreate in her kitchen back home. Showcasing a wide variety of international food experiences, Nici explores the unique food on offer.
She travels to Mexico to unearth the traditional cuisine that is often dulled down in foreign countries. She visits the chaotic and challenging city of Delhi where she receives a free lunch of chapati, lentil soup and vegetable curry, along with the 10,000 locals that visit the volunteer-run temple daily. Then, Nici is off to Japan, making her way to the serene city of Kyoto, widely known for its immaculately presented high-end cuisine, and bustling Osaka, often referred to as the nation’s kitchen, due to its residents’ obsession with food.
Join Nici as she travels the world eating and cooking, encouraging others to move into the kitchen to experiment with exotic flavours and re-create the simple and delicious recipes she uncovers.

Go to http:/niciwickes.com/bali (it has Balinese Chicken Sate, Lime and Coconut ice-cream served with sesame brittle, Pepes Ayam - Little Steamed Chicken Parcels and Zingy Balinese Chicken Curry). The Zingy Balinese Chicken Curry is the curry paste you are no doubt referring to. Good luck! Wendy.

Very much enjoyed the Bali special last night and am now proceeding to the website to find the recipes.
Me too! (this is embarrassing) I'm Indonesian, but never cooked that Baliness sate (satay) before. She definitely inspires me.
