The Wild Gourmets are back and this time they’re bringing the very best of Spanish cuisine to the table. Travelling off the beaten track in the Spanish countryside, cook and MasterChef winner Thomasina Miers and writer and adventurer Guy Grieve (Escape to Alaska) meet with villagers, growers, producers and shepherds in search of authentic flavours, knowledge and recipes that Spain has to offer. Travelling from Andalucía to the central plains of Castille and the mountains and coastlines of Northern Spain, Tommi and Guy source food from the great outdoors with the guidance of the locals they encounter. With Spanish cuisine using fine ingredients mainly foraged off the land the meals are simple yet gutsy in flavour and all about the quality of ingredients. In Spain, food and fiesta are never far apart so join Tommi and Guy as they pilgrim to the ham capital of the world and explore the hunting ground of Europe. As host Tommi Miers would say, “Forget France. Ignore Italy. Viva Espana!”

Loved the show last week - looking forward to tonights episode on ABC1. Where can I get the recipes or purchase the DVD?
I loved the way they had those Spanish hounds go and fetch the rabbits live to save shooting them. I caught rabbits for years in Tasmania, Australia by setting traps. The baked bunny came up well with a homemade celery, parley cream sauce. Mmmm
Watermelon, thanks that's what I forgot to buy for the chorizo salad. Just love the show and want a recipe book or DVD.
Just tell me where I can get the DVD to this show its fantastic... loving it, caught my first show yesterday and want to see them all!
What is absolutely marvellous about this little gem of a program is the food is unpretentious, fresh and so simple to prepare even a culinary ning nong like me can do it and enjoy the preparation as well as the eating. As for Tommi what a gorgeous gal.Viva Tommi.
The fact that they find/catch/harvest live game makes for great viewing. I hope they continue to educate the young and old about food and where it comes from.
