Tobie & Matt

About the show

Tobie & Matt is the new stunningly photographed food, wine and travel series from LifeStyle FOOD featuring best mates chef Tobie Puttock (Restaurant Fifteen Melbourne and Jamie's Kitchen Australia) and sommelier and wine writer Matt Skinner (Head of wine operations for Restaurant Fifteen Group and author of The Juice). Tobie returned to Australia from Europe in 2005 to set up Restaurant Fifteen in his home town of Melbourne and Matt returned to Australia early this year. Seizing their last opportunity for some time to travel around Europe together, they visit four famous food and wine destinations – Lucca in Italy, Bergerac France, Barcelona Spain and Athens, Greece. Some are favourite haunts and some are new experiences. Their first task in each area is to find expat Aussies, friends of friends or locals who have spent time in Australia to act as their local guides and mentors. They then set themselves the challenge of taking just three days to absorb the local sights, flavours, wines and cooking styles. At the end of this time Matt selects a stunning local wine which Tobie then matches to a menu of three locally inspired dishes to serve up for their hosts and mentors.

I totally agree with the above there is just no charisma between the two og them. So utterly boring.

I have to agree with the last comment, these two are tedious at best. Watching them interact with other people is cringe worthy & Matts obvious lack of food knowledge compared with the guest chefs would almost be comical if it wasn't so awkward. Add to this the fact they only seem to have cargo shorts, t shirts and skating shoes as attire, regardless of the location or occasion, and you quite simply have the worst show on Lifestyle Food. Why then can't I stop watching it???

this is the worst show on your channel - these guys are idiots and have no camera presence. I struggled through three quarters of their show over the weekend because it was about thailand, but these guys just don't get it. imagine describing thai flavours as 'simple' - something that the expert corrected immediately to say 'bold'. you should dump this show, its obvious that they only got the gig because they know jamie oliver
