i am originally from cuprus, left in'48. we have a sausage its called sheftalya, you have never tasted a better sausage it is made from pork, minced thick and only once. you put a whole series of herbs and spices and mix. you wrap or roll them in sheep's intestines. you buy them from any butcher, leave them in water and vinegar overnight to soften and take out any smell. then you keep stretching the skin , cutting pieces big enough to roll your mince in, and put in fridge or freeze,i will be making a few foe xmas. 10 kilos will make you about 180-200 and cost you about $80, thats about 80 cents each. they r unbelievable i bet the best sausage in the world deserves a segmant on your show. i am retired any time will do morry anthony

I absolutely love the Show. Simon & Maggie are GR8 together. They both make cooking easy but with excellent presentation. I watch this show every day & learn a lot of tips for food & cooking. They are both a pleasure to watch because they have good informative information on the show all the time. I think they are both the best Chef's I know of & beleive me I watch a lot of cooking shows but none of them come up to the standard of Simon & Maggie. The recipee's on each show they make them easy for me to follow & I have cooked a lot of their food with nothing but praise for both of them. 10 Star Show.

Love the show not fancy food just good, wholesome and achieveable by even working mothers. The "duo" approach makes it very interesting as it brings in wealth of both your individual techniques and the respect of the end result, great tasting food which is what cooking is all about. Reminds me of my childhood when you had a range of cooks in the kitchen with sounds of laughter made by people who loved cooking and feeding others.

I love this show, Maggie ur awesome. I soo wanted to be a chef when I left school, but back then (early 70's) u had to do leaving English no way I was staying at school another 2 years after being ridiculed by spoilt **** in a all girls "Ladies College". Everyone always raves over my food. I get very disappointed a lot of the time when I go out for a meal, I can cook better at home, but it's nice not to have to cook occasionally. Thanks for your show and the inspiration and ideas you give us all.

Maggie and Simon if you are musician you will make good music. Maggie I am like you trained cook and later became a chef. But it doesn't matter about qualifications. Its all in the heart and passion if you don't have it you don't have it. I watch you for years and still do. I use some of your recipes in my work as a chef. Keep cooking you both and I love. My wife Seeta and I just love Maggie & Simon - and we too dont mind the repeats as we learn something each time. Today we had a pleasant surprise when they featured Charmaine Solomons - one of our favourites, who we are extremely proud of, as she was born in the same country (Sri Lanka) as us. So cute to see Simon pulling out his 1st Charmaine Solomon Cook book - it looks so battered and bruised - just like our one. Keep up the good work Maggie & Simon - you certainly complement each other and we love your styles. Dallas & Seeta.

Hi Maggie and Simon, I love your show and watch all the repeats!!! You both work so very well together, and are truly inspiring... You are the best Australian Cook and Chef and your simple approach to cooking and preparation are truly great. I even bought Maggies' Book, 'Maggie's Harvest' it's such a beautiful book!! It's truly an inspirational book ... I'll be trying to collect them all. I wish Simon had more of a public profile too, as he's an amazing chef as well !!!! And of course bring out a book or two, would be the icing on the cake !!!! Thanks for putting on such a great show!!!!!!! I love you both !!!

Hi Maggie & Simon. I grew up the eldest of 8 children. Mum died at the young age of 33 years leaving me to be the cook. Loved cooking very much. didn't use a recipie book self taught. Since watching you shows it has opened my eyes to the grand state food has become. I would love to perfect pastry making. So i keep practiciising. I'm now 61 years young i will become a great cook before retiring age. Keep up the great recipies love them all. Cheers Di Bridgewater

Wow I watch you show all of the time... ps Maggie I also cheat and buy your sauces from deli's...

Hovever I am infatuated by Simon.. I love your style of food and the way you explain what you do so simply.. I will not comment on any eposide, I just want to give you my support and to tell you that I think you both do a fantastic job in the kitchen and I have certainly learnt a lot! Simon I love the way U think Maggie may be tired and your relentless efforts to make her feel comfortable and able to continue.. althought.. I'm sure Maggie would be fine if the need arrived... .. Just one sour comment and I'm sorry and I am also 100% sure being in retail that I won't get a response... I have tried to add myself to your contest amongst others for the same prize but to no avail??? Whilst we enjoy your shows, we would aslo like to enter the contest that your site offers..... Would someone please look into that?? Continue with what I would consider a sucessful show that shows the culinary expertise of 2 Chefs... sorry Simon..... (I have a crush on you...BUT.... LOL )

the show has much better recipes than most others I see your show, check the others while ecoding the Cook and the Chef.Afterr seeing some of the other shows i come back all the time to the cook and the chef. Its even better than masterrchef, especially the types of Recipes. With Adelaide having a german population in the Hahndorf area and the Beerenberg place with nice jams,Pehap[s you need an on location show set up for that area.Oktoberfest on the way and so far no show has come up with traditional German food,Always too much med o Asian.

I absolutely love this show. I cant get enough of it. I would like you to show at some stage simple receipes that a person can cook when they live on there own. But apart from that keep up the good work. Congratualtions on becoming the Senior Citzens of Australia. Well Done.

I love the show, most of the recipes I have tried work, especially the butterflied leg of lamb on the BBQ. Love Maggie and Simon, however, would love to see lots more of Maggie's good friend Stephanie Alexander as well, perhaps these two grand food heros of Aussie food need to collaborate.

We find it very strange and a bad image for professionals in kitchens that professionals of your standard use the same forks and spoons to taste and re taste food. Surely using serving spoons and forks putting your food onto tasting plates would project what most people expect fro m food preparers.

Hi Maggie and Simon I would like to compliment you both on your exciting and innovative show that I love to watch and say that you two of the more respected and iconic masters of great Australian cuisine and nary a swear word or abusive bullying comment expressed. Gordon could certainly take a leaf out of your cook book about how one can conduct oneself with gracious warmth, humour and what appears to be very real respect for each other’s skills and abilities. I enjoy your show along with Mark Olives because you all cook with a passion, intelligence and creative flair whilst marrying some pretty diverse ingredients with great Australian cheeses, meats, poultry, seafood vegetables and fruits etc. The biggest compliment that I can say is that you make ones mouth water and nostrils flair with imagined aromas when producing some truly amazing and flavoursome meals and recipes. If you ever need a taste tester I would jump at the opportunity lol. Keep producing these excellent TV shows and wishing you great success in bringing your passion to the people. Kind regards Julie aka Bossyk
