Saturday Kitchen

About the show

Fresh, bold and bright, Saturday Kitchen is packed with exciting features and mouth-watering recipes. When James Martin is in the kitchen it’s like being at a trendy catering college – albeit with a very dishy private tutor. But he’s not just a pretty face! The cookery on Saturday Kitchen is well-judged – food that can be bought and cooked on the day, and grace the dinner table that night. The energetic James plays host to guest chefs and celebrities. As they undergo a series of culinary challenges, will they be voted into ‘food heaven’ or consigned to ‘food hall’? The international cast of chefs all undertake the omelette challenge, a hilarious race against the clock where Michelin stars don’t mean anything! Some star chefs take it so seriously they practice for hours beforehand. Guest chefs include MasterChef’s John Torode, Si King and Dave Myers from Hairy Bikers Cookbook and one of Australia’s leading cooks Bill Granger.

Great programme, not sure what the omelette challenge adds to it.What has happened to the two guests, are they no longer part of the show,a pity,I was thinking of applying.Could do with less of John and Gregg shouting and screaming at their already stressed pupils-is this reality TV gone too far.Give us more of Keith Floyd,he was a legend.Keep up the good work James, only cookery show worth watching,I also enjoy Sunday am best bites. Great program...except for the omelette challenge...embarrassed chefs pretending to hit each other with saucepans making ... omelettes that James Martin deserves a medal for tasting..come on Saturday Kitchen the time could be much better used

Why do they insist on showing the faces of people been interviewed instead of what james is cooking?

in my opinion James Martin is one of the best live tv presenters on any channel . He copes magnificently with interviewing celebrities and chefs while at the sme time cooking quite complicated recipes.Thank God AWT decided to 'seek success' elsewhere because his departure gave us James. Our whole family love him and the programme .No other chef could do what he does.Thankyou James

My wife and I have been watching this show for a while now, even though it has changed time slot we still watch. Love the way the chef's are so relaxed and happy to share. Like others, would like the recipes to be on this site if possible. We love James Martin and his easy going style and note he is very conscious of cleanliness and presentation. Great Show...

I also saw "saturday kitchen" for the first time today and loved the recipes for both the Gymkhana chicken pie and the cheesecake. Found it difficult to find the recipes though. Eventually did by using the advanced search engine and only entering one word ie cheesecake. This then came up with the Baked Raspberry cheesecake and boozy berries recipe. If the recipes could be sourced through the lifestyle food page would be so much easier. Otherwise great show .. keep it up. Regards

I saw a small part of the "Saturday Kitchen" for the first time today and was so impressed by the raspberry, white chocolate, cheesecake recipe, came direct to the Lifestyle information on the computer to see if I could get the recipe, but could not, if it is going to be there, not added as yet,,,,,,but with all that aside, I was impressed with the show, how it was presented and the recipe looked delicious. I will watch for the show and the recipe, again. Thank you . Regards
