River Cottage Summer's Here

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall returns to River Cottage HQ to explore and celebrate the very best food that summer has to offer. Including a lesson in sheep sheering and veal recipes.

Hugh goes fishing for red mullet. There's a "Leftovers Night" at the River Cottage Canteen and River Cottage baker Dan takes on an assistant who's not that great a cook.

When Hugh finds that slugs are eating the cabbages he wonders if he can turn them into a culinary hit. He also takes on the Hix Fish & Oyster House in a fishing-cooking-racing competition.

River Cottage is celebrating the strawberry this summer with a huge, 500-person strawberry fete. Hugh and the chefs are busy with new recipes and cooking up trout for the big day.
