River Cottage Summer's Here

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall is celebrating the summer season with a four-part River Cottage series. Following up on his Landshare campaign Hugh will cover some of the groundbreaking stories to develop as amateur veg growers search for new land. To further celebrate the warmer weather Hugh has filled his gardens with strawberry patches that he hopes to grow just in time for his massive strawberry fete for five hundred people.

Back in the River Cottage kitchen, Hugh will be whipping up seasonal delights and seeking out the finest edible goodies from the garden, the hedgerow, the river and the stream. From pea shooters, parsley pesto and potted mackeral, to goats cheesecake with gooseberries and roast potato gnocchi, Hugh’s garden delicacies are all washed down with lashings of Gorse Flower Wine and Carrot and Spruce Beer.

I totally agree, the show is so entertaining and there's something so comforting about how he has set up his farm and garden to produce his own food etc. I just love it! Wish I could be so clever :)

Hugh is a great role model, and opening or rather re-opening peoples eyes to the love of the land is wonderful. I wish great things for River Cottage and its people. I look forward to seeing more of this show and influence and inspire the people to go back to basics. Great show for Body and Soul. This show is truly a Lifestyle show. I just love it.
