Restaurant In Our Living Room sees couples going head-to-head to create the ultimate dining experience in their own homes. With a strict budget and just three days to transform their home into a fully-functioning restaurant, this is dining out with a difference. Guests only have to pay what they think the meal is worth and the winning couple takes the most money on the night. Everything is at stake as guests consider service, entertainment and restaurant design when paying their bill.
The series is inspired by underground restaurants where disillusioned foodies, fed up with over-priced, over-hyped restaurants, are fighting back by opening their kitchens to paying customers. The hosts are forced to get creative with some outrageous themes that include a garden drive-in restaurant where guests stay in their car, a bollywood night, an African menu and even a classic gastronomic pub setting.
