Nigel Slater's Simple Suppers

In Nigel Slater’s Simple Suppers, legendary food writer and celebrity cook Nigel Slater demonstrates straightforward, down to earth cooking, filmed at his home vegetable patch and on friends' allotments. As most people don't have time to cook complex recipes, Nigel unveils a week's worth of delicious and uncomplicated meals. He raids his cupboards, fridge and vegetable patch to show how, with a little imagination, everyday ingredients can produce spectacular results.

This is quick, simple food well within the capabilities of even the most inexperienced cook. Nigel is keen to promote that all of his recipes are easily adaptable and he encourages all cooks to experiment with flavours and taste. Nigel works over seemingly uninspiring leftovers from his Sunday roast; cooks using ingredients that grow in the same place at the same time; and finds new ways of cooking ingredients that go perfectly together to make comfort food that hits the spot. There's no need to write down complicated recipes as Nigel's unflustered style makes these feasts easy to remember.

This is the first time I have seen Nigel Slater on TV (although I had lots about him) and now I'm hooked. Although I must say "Come on Lifestyle Food!! Surely you can put up more than just two recipes from Simple Suppers???" I had to google then go to BBC to get his recipe for Leek risotto with parmesan crisps. And I am trying to find more.
