I am a Cypriot, living in London but I am at the moment in Finland, we watch the program I believe that this lady single handed advertises Greek/Cypriot food and our countries in the best possible way better by far. She should get paid a lot of money from the Cyprus Tourism Organization, she does a fantastic job

I lived in Cyprus for 3 years - the food is wonderful and the people the same, so Cyprus Tourism doesn't need to sell the island to me. Get to Cyprus, go to the villages, meet the people and sample the food. Tonia, you are truly amazing!!

I HAVE CHECKED ON WIKIPEDIA AND BAKLAVA IS TURKISH NOT GREEK HOWEVER IT WOULD SEEM HALVA IS GREEK AND NOT TURKISH. YOU NEED TO EMPLOY A PROPER FOOD HISTORIAN OR DO YOUR RESEARCH A LITTLE BIT MORE THOROUGHLY. I PREFER TO HAVE THE CORRECT HISTORICAL FACTS. A little bit of info on the new series from Tonia; Extract from her website. "Firstly I have to beg you all to forgive me as I have not updated my diary for soOo long! It has though been a total whirl-wind, we shot the first block of my new series “My Cypriot Kitchen” which is a sister series of My Greek Kitchen. If all goes well it will be shown on The Discovery Channels for their autumn schedules which start in September. We were in Cyprus for March and April and we shot Easter there. We have some amazing stories to show, I am very proud of this series and I have so many thank-yous to all our contributors, who I am going to keep secret till the show airs, but you know who you are. I will be filming the second block in Cyprus from the 6th of June till the 28th, so if you see us there come and say hello. Filagia polla to you all, Be happy, Tonia xxx"

I have spent ages serching the web for Tonia's recipes, so far no luck, if there was a a waiting list for her cookery book I would be the first one on it, I love Greece, the people and the food, hre programmes are like being back there in an instant!!

Seen the programme, lovely show. However, comments about what a great cook she is etc are just so wide of the mark. She is a presenter, most of the cooking is done behind the scenes. It is them we need to convince to write the book...even if Tonia picture goes on the front!

I lived in Cyprus as a child and this is where all my happy memories come from.This programme makes me feel homesick and my husband and I have fallen in love with Tonia & her family

I e. mailed tonia 2 years ago when we were going on a holiday to cyprus asking her if a book was to follow the " My Greek Kitchen" series she said she was in the process of it then, still waiting? I have a good recipe book that i bought in Crete many years ago called "The Best Traditional Reciepes of GREEK Cooking" which i use all the time and take with me when in Cyprus and of course written down the recipes from "My Greek Kitchen" to take them also. I still watch the series when it is shown even now await with antisipation for the book.

I have just seen Tonia Buxton My Greek Kitchen and i loved the programme. I am a Turkish Cypriot born in England i was delighted to see her appealing way of introducing traditional cypriot cooking and have learnt how to cook my favouite cypriot pastries and Borek delicious!!! THANKS Tonia PLEASE PLEASE let us see more. How refreshing and lovely to see the food family and country, a real taste of cypriot life.

A good reason to have Sky

I love this programme, Tonia is a wonderful presenter, so very warm and smiley, her cooking is easy to follow and she is so enthusiastic. I dearly love sitting for an hour early evening watching back to back My Greek Kitchen and longing to be in Greece again in the summer... Sigh.

The programme is amazing in which I can enjoy the grogeous view of scenic spots .

I would love a good recipe for a stifado, have tried a couple but am sure Tonia must have a good one, does she have a recipe book.

I have just discovered the dvd's with recipes and sights of Cyprus in the 'Cypus Weekly' newspaper, out every friday in Cyprus, I believe you can obtain it in the UK too.

Just a top show, a little hidden gem that needs to be promoted more. Love the family orientation and the context side of the cooking. ie Not just kitchen based but we get to see the country and people . Gavin
