Unfortunately LifeStyle FOOD is no longer showing Market Kitchen. For all recipes asociated with this show and to find out more vist the UK website
Getting out of the kitchen and into the hustle and bustle of a market, Market Kitchen is an exciting new daily food magazine series presenting ideas on where to enjoy and cook the very best of British food.
Entertaining and interactive, Market Kitchen is presented by passionate and knowledgeable foodies with a real appetite for life. Fronted by Tom Parker Bowles (author of The Year of Eating Dangerously and food writer for the Mail on Sunday and Tatler), Matthew Fort (food writer and critic) and award winning chef Matt Tebbutt (Great British Menu). Each week the team will be joined by a celebrity guest chef, and all the mouth-watering food created during the programme will be sampled and judged by members of the public, invited to join them in the Market Kitchen café.
I am a viewer from Christchurch NZ, gosh how I miss such a good series. It was excellent & it only got better & better. Such talent, such knowledge, but most of all such fun & what seemed genuine friendships
Market Kitchen is not just about the Brit's food scene, the show keeped us in touch with what was going on in the world of food. No other program does this BRING IT BACK. Why do the Assies have to miss out? Don't start me on all the repeats!!

This was easily your best show, like so many offerings on Foxtel we get so much dross. This was a rare gem. Guess I will cancel my subscription in the next few months.
Get rid of barefoot contessa, giada at home. They're shize. Bring mk back. Tools
We want Market Kitchen! We used to watch it twice a days sometimes (to make up for interruptions from kids, cooking, phones etc etc). Bring it back! I'm writing to the UK producers to ask why it was pulled and whether there is some way to watch it online or on iPad. I'd pay to watch it for sure.
Market kitchen was great. The one food show that I thoroughly enjoyed particularly since it used fresh produce and some of the best chefs in Europe. Yes, it was particularly involved with English food but English food is now more cosmopolitan than 100 years ago. It was also good to get the occasional traditional English dish which had stood the test of time. Why for the love of good entertainment was it dropped? Bring it back or at least explain why it was dropped. When can we expect it back? Stop running world War II and Hitler re-runs over and over again and invest the money into Market Kitchen instead.
I cancelled my subscription months ago and taking off shows like Market Kitchen was one of the main reasons. They continue to repeat the same old ... over and over again yet don't air first run shows such as MK which constantly have new episodes.
You dropped the ball Lifestyle Food! You should never have gotten rid of Market Kitchen, it was the whole reason I subscribed to your channel. You're losing customers and you don't even seem to care.
Absolutely agree, the programmers have no idea
Since you took market kitchen off air, we have seldom watched Lifestyle Food. If you are not going to show new episodes, why not re-run the series? It is an excellent cooking show, not just reality tv, and the recipes were great.
Please bring back Market Kitchen, it's one of the few great shows that you air! You repeat so much, that my mornings used to be so enjoyable watching fresh new episodes of Market Kitchen, instead now we get re-runs of the same old stuff! Free to air TV is looking better every day!
I cant see any reason to keep up my subscription to Foxtel - there are some pretty awful shows on now.
why oh why have you taken this show off the air??? I agree - an explanation would be nice........
I would love to know why this show has been taken off the air - an explanation would be nice!
Bring back Market Kitchen! Please!!!
Please bring back Market Kitchen; a wonderful and informative and witty show. What are Foxtel thinking? First they move it from the early evening and then get rid of it. Shameful.
Can't believe Lifestyle food has taken this show off air. They bring back new episodes of ready steady cook (ainslie is good but may as well leave the crappy aussie version on FTA tv). So many good shows around and Lifestyle food treats its customers with disdain......same as foxtel in general........that is the problem without true competition in the market.
How can you take Market Kitchen of Lifestyle food and still leave all those dreadful American cooking shows on air!!!
please bring back Market Kitchen,it has left a huge hole on the Lifestyle Food channel.
good on you foxtel, way to *** up a good show like you *** up everything else. have another million on me rupert.
Foxtel, we are still waiting to hear news about Market Kitchen - when will this fantastic show be returning to our TV screens?
is anyone going to explain why this fantastic and informative show has been taken off Australian TV?????????? Foxtel, we want answers...........................
Please bring Market Kitchen back! I watch it nearly every day and have cooked some amazing dishes from the show. I also love seeing Aussie chefs on there, like Bill Granger and Maggie Beer.
Market Kitchen is also good for checking out the food trends happening over in the UK.
Please, please, please!!!
used to wait to have my lunch everyday watching market kitchen.they have alot of followers in australia but foxtel dont care about us pay tv is a joke
why has this been taken off - it is such a good show!!!!
Would someone please make an Australian version? It could rotate through the fabulous markets around Australia. We have enough great chefs to show our own seasonal produce in the right season! I love MK, but their summer break happens in the middle of our winter and we get "best of". At the moment, seeing Spring produce in Autumn doesn't help my menu ideas.
I watch Market kitchen everyday, just love it, Amanda is a hottie.....
NSW Australia, I have noticed a lot of dishes lately using makeral which we often use as bait (gasp) and never really thought of trying it due to it excessive oilyness. This is the sort of fish I would normally smoke in an outdoor smoker and it's great but you have convinced me to give it a go. Perhaps I have been spoilt with the amount of choice we have in the way of seafood.
I'm really miffed MK isn't on in the early evening anymore....and that we're being fobbed off with endless and aging repeats.
What a disapointment... Market Kitchen isn't on in the evenings. Bring it back please?
Yes, it is missed at an evening
Lee, the South Australian wine was 'Tim Adams' 2006 Shiraz Clare Valley (from the label on the show)
Can any one help? What was the South Australian wine selected on episode 89 (the halloween episode)? Cheers
been watching the show, but what is wrong with Tom's stomach? It looks like a pillow or does he have a hernia?
Hello from Queensland Australia, we watch the show everyday have tried most of the recipes what I now like is that the recipes are now in metric which we use here, I have tried some from the US but have to convert to metric which sometimes is not worth it
Greetings from Queensland, Austraila. We really like the oodles of variety on the show and enjoy seeing lots of our favourite chefs.. especially Theo. Every recipe of his that we try is absolutely fantastic.
I enjoy watching your show .. it is fab.. keep the good food comming..
Yep...saw him in the British Hello magazine a couple of years ago and got a shock when I saw him on MK
I've just discovered this Parker Bowles is Camilla's son!
I really enjoy this show and our meals have improved considerably since I have been watching it. HOWEVER being a very proud New Zealander I am not to impressed when they "knock" my country. We all think our own produce is by far the best. I cooked some british lamb for my son last time I was in London and could not get over how lacking in flavour it was. Our lamb can be cooked with only the addition of salt and pepper and still has the most tremendous flavour.
They do not knock NZ food. They advocate British food. Why would we want NZ lamb that travels thousands of miles when we have our own perfectly good lamb here. You must have, unfortunately, bought cheap lamb from overseas or something not well produced. British food has some of the best food in the world if you buy from reputable producers. I am sure NZ has it own good an bad food producers.
Maybe your problem is "we all think our produce is the best"!!!. How can you possibly say that when there are countries like UK, Spain, France, Italy to name only a few. NZ produce is good,in areas, but the best???? And yes I am Kiwi born and often not a very proud one.
I really enjoy watching Market Kitchen, with all the guest chefs and other good topics covered relating to food. My only problem with the recipes is that it seems all the people who cook on the show seem to think that lamb must have rosemary, however I am alergic to rosemary and need to see some recipes with lamb using other herbs.
I tried a Jamie Oliver recipe where he roasted a leg of lamb marinated in lemon, sage and anchovies. It was great.
oregano, lemon thyme, mint and parsley all go well. I use a marinade for my lamb roast that uses lemon thyme, wine and oregano and it's beautiful.
On today's show 5/2/09 it was commented that the show is now shown in Australia. How about an episode or part of an episode featuring Australian cuisine and products which are available in Britain? I really enjoy the format of the show, but wish Tom would talk just a little bit slower. I feel he tends to gabble a bit.
You don't have to write it down, go onto uktvfood.co.uk and type in the name of the recipe. It should come up in there.
Why were you presenting Dutchy Foods as a healthy alternative on Oz TV today when it has been proven that their foods are far higher in Sugar, Salt and fats than other food on the market?
Why can't you get a recipe from the show just watched? Do we really have to record it and write it down?
I could not agree more
You can usually get them at www.uktvfood.co.uk
