About the show

John Burton Race and Angela Hartnett, two of Britain's finest chefs, are about to commence one of the toughest challenges of their careers. They are scouring the land to find the country's worst cooks, who they will attempt to turn from kitchen criminals into kitchen heroes, to prove that anyone can master the art of cooking. They are shocked to discover the state of the nation's cooking skills but they both have to find one protégé they think can pass the ultimate test – cooking a first-class meal for three leading food critics. It's a tough challenge but they're both determined to win the ultimate accolade – turning a kitchen criminal into a kitchen hero.
