In this brand new series James Martin embarks on a culinary journey through Champagne to mingle with the locals and perfect his traditional French dishes. In celebration of a country that is passionate about good food, James will set out on a truffle hunt in the beautiful autumn woods; venture off the beaten track in Aix en Othe to catch the early morning market and find some fresh guinea fowl; visit the famous cheese village of Chaource and take part in the Champagne grape harvest.
Some of the mouth-watering recipes that James will prepares include warm scallops and red mullet citrus salad drizzled with a champagne dressing, apple tart with quinces, honey and hazelnut crème fraiche, and pan-fried pork loin. There is a little bit of something for everyone!
