Culinary alchemist Heston Blumenthal turns his attention to the biggest meal of the year - Christmas dinner. This one-hour special is not going to be one of those Christmas cookery programs that lead to a rush on cranberries. This is hardcore Heston. This is his idea of what the Christmas dinner should be. Heston pushes the boundaries of multisensory cooking to the limit, taking inspiration from the past, present and future of Christmas. Cooking for six special guests who all have one thing in common, a genuine love of food, Heston’s aim is to make them feel like children again albeit with some very sophisticated tastes. Guests Terry Wogan, Kirsty Wark, Dara O’Briain, Rob Brydon, Richard E. Grant and Sue Perkins have no idea what to expect. Sourcing ingredients from Oman, Paris and Siberia, Heston treats his guests to a spectacular Christmas dinner like no other in Heston Blumenthal’s Perfect Christmas.
BRAVO! after seeing the show, i couldnt help but think what a maniac. someone who'll travel across the world to gather the freshest and authentic ingredients. an amazing spin on using not only premium food but incorporating fascinating elements of the theme such as tobbaco, leather, mhyre and frankenscence. he had some of britain's most staunch food critics saying (with full mouths) "nobody talk to me im eating" lol well done
Heston is the mad scientist of the kitchen i love his approach
Where the recipes??????????????? Please!
Truly not what you could recreate at home! Wish I had the 150 pounds per head to eat at his London restaurant!
Where can I buy a DVD of the BBC 'Perfect Christmas' Program ?????
where can i get the recipes??????
Amazing show. Will the other Heston's Feasts be shown soon? (Victorian, Tudor, Roman, Medieval) Their a Channel$ series rather than BBC, but still......
Whoops, my comment above should say Channel4, not $
Does anybody know who made this fantastic music ?
Hi i would like to have, ................................................
HAS TO BE THE MOST AMAZING SHOW ON COOKING EVER WATCHED
I agree, I am keeping a copy of this amazing Christmas Dinner - as I believe - how could you top that!
I only managed to catch part of this show, please replay it! This man is incredible!
This man is a genius.. I could only wish to be invited to be one of the lucky few to be able dine on his fare...
We were intrigued at how he could come up with something like this. My husband and I are not lovers of cooking but this show was both entertaining and showed Heston's love of cooking science.
I am waiting in anticpation to view the dinner that Heston is going to produce.
All I can say is wow. I truly believe that this guy has some of the most interesting ideas in cooking today. He is not afraid to go to any lengths to find the flavour he is looking for so my hat is off to his dedication. Although I might not want to eat all his food I can apreciate the method and science in the creation.
The guy is amazing and perhaps in years to come folks will say he was way ahead of his time. I believe he truely loves food and what he can contribute to the enjoyment of food which in his case incorporates the science of food.
I have to say i am not overly impressed with this guy. I appriecate what he is doing however it seems cooking is now a science and not a luv.
Heston really earns his Michelin stars. He go's to extraordinary lengths for the dishes he creates. Just when you think he couldn't do any more to a dish he has another little trick up is sleeve to wow you again.
Unbelievable, incredible extra sensory perception. Heston really out did himself this time. I would still have been ravenous at dinners end though.
He created a mind blowing full on sensory experience. Oh for the opportunity to experience such a fantastic thing.
I absolutely loved the program. I was totally fascinated!
This show was truly amazing, one would never expect to experience something like this in their lifetime.
I like this guy, a refreshing approach to cooking. and this program was the stimulus to rejoin the lifestyle food web as I forgot to include lifestyle in the change a year or so ago to my new email address.
