Starring multi award-winning chef Neil Perry, Food Source – Asia continues the culinary journey that began with the internationally acclaimed Food Source; as Neil seeks out the key Asian influences that inform his distinguished style.

Neil has explored the food of Asia since childhood and has built an international reputation for his unique Modern Asian cuisine. With this latest series, the viewer is seduced by the sights, sounds and tastes of Asia. Neil delves into Malay, Indian, Nonja, Thai and Cantonese cuisines. Neil explains their influence with his usual flair through stunning yet easy-to-follow recipes.

Each episode begins in the Rockpool restaurant kitchen, with Neil creating one of his many tempting Asian dishes. Northern style Thai pork curry, stir fried black bean and chilli prawns, steamed oysters with mirin and sake sauce, and stir fried minced chicken, chilli and coriander are just some of the enticing dishes featured. New to this series, Neil also matches a wine to each dish and his choices are not always what you’d expect.

Shot on location in Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand, Neil visits the kitchens of Asia's finest chefs to find out what makes their food unique. He also explores the local markets in search of the freshest possible produce, and for a chef, there are few pleasures that can compare.
