Why is the show on at 2.50am(11.50 pm in the west).
Up to now it has been on at 9.30 am
I agree. what happened, I finally had the time free (grandkids want to watch cartoons 3 days a week) to watch this show for a full week and the next week they took it off just as they got to the finals it would have only been the rest of this week. we are not all up at 2.50am!!!
I love this show :)
This is the most disappointing show and last Friday’s episode, no30 illustrated the worst examples of professional behaviour to date. Although it is an hour long, there is not much cookery teaching and it follows the same formulaeic format each time. Corrigan, legend in his own mind, wastes the short time with the students making vile and vicious remarks and appears to be determined to target students for his negative remarks. The time would be better spent explaining to the students how to improve next time and what points to watch for any importantly why, instead of shouting at them so that they tremble and make more mistakes.
The bleatings from Gizzie and Richard Corrigan that students need to show more passion or that this or that student cannot be taught illustrates lack of teaching skills and is always a give away remark for an incompetent teacher. Richard and Gizzie even insulted one student by laughing at her – this is most unprofessional in any teaching situation.
This team should watch Michel Roux’s Service or Jamie Oliver’s 15 to see how you can turn around, motivate, and teach students who are reluctant or have few skills. Cookery School is not an educational programme, rather a reality tv demonstration of bullying and insulting behaviour directed at students who have come to learn and who have exposed their ambitions in a really brave way.
Richard Corrigan may have modelled himself on Ann Robinson , if so, then there is only one thing left to say, Corrigan, you are the weakest link, kindly leave my screen. Goodbye!!
