I really love this show, the narrator makes me laugh all the time with his witty comments. It is just great to watch the differant types of people. It is amazing that some of them cook something that they have never tried before, are they nuts!!

I discovered this show by accident about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I've been watching it when it's on at 5.58pm in Melbourne. Unfortunately Episode 5 of the Preston mob wasn't shown on Monday. As it was one of the most bizarre programmes I've ever seen, I'm dying to know who actually turned up for the fifth evening...and who won?

    Can someone help?

    December 2010

hey, I was just watching some of the older shows and there is one where the contestant cooks steak but she uses a plank of wood to cook it on...does anyone have any idea what sort of wood would be suitable for this? (not overly keen on accidently poisoning the guests at the next dinner party :D)

Does anyone know when the second aussie series will be aired?

    January 2010

Thoroughly disappointed with the conclusion of Australia Group 1. The narrator was inferior to UK version and they really need to be more cutting in their sarcasm. The marking was also weirdly off which the cameramen / producer should really direct more. Great call to bring the show to Oz but needs a bit more work

  • Anthony
    January 2010

Ben can come and cook for me any night How cute is he!

  • Glolor
    January 2010

Hurrah! The new Aussie show has started, but I wonder why only 30 minutes instead of 60. How rude was Pippa, pity she didn't get locked out for a while or have a little surprise slipped into her dessert.

    January 2010

fantastic show to watch. Dave Lamb makes it sooo funny with his back ground commentary.

  • Janet81
    November 2009

Thanks VC3, I realised later that they were older programs and that might be the reason. Agree that Pippa's a right one - who do these people think they are? Looking forward to the next instalment and also the one being shown from Torbay. Talking of which, why do people go on the show if they don't eat basic foods i.e. cheese and fish? P.S. Can I take Dave Lamb home with me ?

  • VC3
    November 2009

This weeK its that b..ch Pippa and I cant understand why Vera ( who was locked outside) didnt say something to the other guests and as for giving b..ch face a hug when she did finally open the door makes her a better person than me...I would have slapped her! She complained about the food all week but shovelled it in..........re Janet's query, I think the second half that we are seeing now is the first series and Dave was just getting started....he is a hoot!

  • Janet81
    November 2009

How come there are 2 different 'styles' of CDWM ? They both have Dave Lamb doing the the talk over, one has his cheeky one-liners which make me laugh out loud but another has quite a staid, flat version to it, which is really disappointing. He really makes the show and that's why I watched in the first place - so what's going on, anyone know?

    October 2009

i love this show!!!!!!!!!! i watch this show with my daughter every night!!!! i live in melbourne and i want this show to come to melbourne!!!!!!!!!!!!! go cdwm!!!

  • thewhingingpom-lifeinoz

I appeared in this programme in the UK, it was an absolute HOOT to do, and what you see on screen is really an edited version of the events that unfold as the guests get more and more tiddly. I have since moved to Melbourne, leaving z list celebrity behind me, so can you imagine my absolute amazement when aaustralian lady in the supermarket came up to me and asked if I had been on CDWM!!! I had no idea it would be broadcast everywhere in the world - I feel that my star has rised and I am truly international!!! Thank you CDWM xxx

    October 2009

I lived in the UK for a year and this show is huge and the Australian version should be on a major commercial channel like Masterchef. I love Lifestyle food channel but the fact C.D.W.M is such a hit in England it would be better suited to a major network like Channel 10 or something.

  • Dee
    October 2009

Does anyone from Lifestyle Food read these blogs? Why have episode after episode going on for hours? I love CDWM but get really bored when it's on for hours and hours non stop. Does anyone know when the Australian version is coming and if it will be on Channel 4?

  • Kent
    October 2009

If Brian Wiseman is in the show it will be very funny.. He was hilarious when he worked with Stan Zemanek doing all those funny voices on radio

I am addicted to this show, I love it. But I don't like what is on at the moment, 5 contestants spread over 5 half hour episodes, to stretch one dinner party into half hour it is too repetetive. Bring back the one hour shows with 4 contestants. I love it.

  • bob
    July 2009

Seems they are doing and Australian version!!!!!! www.granadaproductions.com.au

  • WM10
    July 2009

What has happened to the recipes? You used to be able to get all the recipes from the shows, why has this changed?

  • Mel Brown
    July 2009

I think the new series is not like the old one. I enjoy seeing the hosts try very hard to make a perfect night (with some hilarious results - Dave Lamb makes them even funnier), but I always find that you would be guessing about what would happen at the next dinner party & wanting to watch the show on the next day. When I was watching the new series, I found out some things about the contestants that I don't want to know in a 1 hour episode. 1 episode in particular with a 50-something year old artist & his, let's say, really dirty mind (Sorry, but too much to take in 1 night).

  • Malcolm in Sydney

I think that Mike Goldman (Meerkat Manor & Big Brother) would be a great narrator for the Australian Come Dine With Me.

  • SR2
    June 2009

Great to see a new series the only thing wrong with the one hour series is not enough DAVID LAMB

  • hsvgal
    June 2009

  • AK61
    June 2009

An aussie version would be great fun and Dave Lamb comentating, taking the mickey out of the aussies would be very amusing and appeal to both Oz and UK viewers.

  • SR2
    June 2009

I agree an Aussie series would be fantastic and yes David Lamb is the best my man only watches because of him.Mmmm wonder who the Aussie David could be any ideas anyone ....maybe someone like Matt Tilley or Kate Langbroek

  • Stove
    June 2009

I'd love to see an Australian Come Dine With Me. But I think for the show to work you'd need David Lamb commentating. He is brilliant!!!!

I am a huge fan of this tv show and thank god a new series is commencing Monday night (11/5), as watching repeats of old episodes was becoming boring. Only wished we had the same show in Sydney, as I would love to partipate and be apart of the Come Dine With Me experience. New series trailer looks great!

My saturday morning ise my weeks highlight to enjoy the marathon. This show is thoroughly amusing, the guest dynamics are hilarious but the narrator is the real star!! I hope many more series are released as Australia has only had a limited showing so far.

    • Aneta
      February 2009

I agree, the narrator is exceptionally entertaining, and I find myself laughing out loud at the comments made. Very perceptive and amusing.

    February 2009

This awful snob Pippa kicked out the first geust because she wasn't ready yet...........Well I never. Left out in the frezzing cold. Its an out rage. But I found the rest of the seris with a more pleasent geust list. I love this show.

  • SR2
    January 2009

here here we entertain a lot and I was apalled and astonished at the rudeness of this Pippa creature (complete with tiara!!!!!!!!!!) My goodness what a pretentious cow.

  • krystyna Michnowski
    January 2009

I enjoy this show except for STUCK UP PIPPA (current show this week) who seems to think she is better than the poor old daring who started the week off I mean she did the best she could & if PIPPA was in my company I certainly would bring her down to size with her "I am better than you"

    • Suzanne
      February 2009

PIPPA!!!!!! What a poor excuse for a human being! Pompous, precious and boring! I've never been so angry watching television before, I wanted to junp the screen and strangle her.
