In this new six-part series twenty of Britain’s most ambitious home cooks step forward with their very best undiscovered recipes and compete against each other for a rare and unique opportunity of a lucrative contract that gets their recipe produced, packaged and sold on the shelves at the country’s largest supermarket chain, Tesco. In each show, four contestants will be guided by two highly qualified experts who will mentor them through a journey in which they learn what it takes to turn a home spun ‘recipe’ into a commercially viable product. Along the way they face the scrutinising eyes of supermarket top food developers and have their home recipes tested by highly trained customer tasting panels. Twenty passionate foodies will get the unprecedented opportunity, fifteen will embark on the journey of a lifetime, just ten will get to Tesco HQ to sell their dream, and ultimately one will be Breaking Into Tesco.
