For what you bring to the table James, I thank you. As a mother of four I feel that you have thrown some spice into my life. I enjoy watching you prepare dishes created for families across the nation. Your quirky sense of humour keeps me smiling, and watching. Bring on Mr whizzy :)

Still no one had made any comments on this site. The last person to do so was 2 months back. Would like to see more soon. I think that James is a great cook and I wish that season 3 will get released on GEM soon.

Looking for that recipe Birds Nest Beans. James made it a few weeks back and it looked very nice. Found it on the net, but there were no ingredients there. It would be a big help it there was some ingredients there as I would like to know how to cook it.

I really like James and I think that he is a great cook, but what makes me mad is that I can't get some of his recipes off the net. I wanted that garlic mushroom recipe and everytime I click to get the recipe I always get this message saying recipe coming soon. I think that it is about time they get their act together and start printing out more of their recipes. Also I get a bit frustrated as they have moved a lot of their older recipes and I can't find them.

Where is everybody? Doesn't anyone make any comments on these sites anymore? I enjoy reading other people's comments, but everytime I go there, there is nothing new to read.

That Planet cake looks very nice. Making a cake that looks like the planet Earth takes a lot of skill. I would love to try a piece of it. It looks like one of my favourites, chocolate, yum.

I was watching James this morning and he made a steak and kidney pie. It looked nice so I printed out the recipe and I will make it for dinner tonight. I am going to put the steak and the veggies in the pie and I will give the kidneys to the cat as he really loves them.

I would like to know the brand of mixer that James used to make the pancakes to-day . Am I able to purchase one??

Hi Lia, nice to see you back and hopefully some of the others might turn up soon. Hope you had a good holiday. I am a very big fan of James, but I can only watch him on GEM and I wish that they would show his new shows as they only have his old ones. I would love to see them soon. Hopefully they might put them on. I am also a big fan of Huey as well and I have been watching his new shows too. Do you like show such as Masterchef or MKR? I watch those when they are on as well and I will be watching Junior Masterchef too. I have made quite a few of James dishes and they are nice. He does make a lot of nice food.

Hi everyone. Yes August, I have been on holidays, not sure where all my other friends are. Of course, I don't care what has happened to Kim. I really missed watching the cooking shows I normally watch whilst I was away.

Where is Lia, Twilight, Cautions and Goldie gone? There hasn't been anything written by them for quite some time. Have they gone on holidays or something like that. There hasn't been anything from Kim for quite some time either. I too am a big fan of James and I think that his food looks great. He made a nice Rogan Gosh leg of lamb this morning and it made my mouth water when I saw it. I will print out that receipt and I will make it next time I have people over.

That refried bean dish that James has on his web site looks very nice but there is no way I am going to cook that for my husband as he was a very bad wind problem.

I am a very big fan of James and I think that he is great. I only wish that GEM could get his new shows as they are only showing the old series. WIN TV has his new season, but unfortunately I can't get that channel so I am hoping that GEM will get his new series soon.

This year i come to Perth for holiday for 3 month and i always watch "Alive and Cooking show" because i love watching it and i cooking so much. This show have so many nice food. How is sometime you make Balinese or indonesian food that could be good. I looking forward to watch the new show before i go back to Bali.

Hellloooooooooooooo, is the anybody out there? This site has been very quiet for a while. I love watching James too, but his shows are all repeats. I hope they will make a new series of Alive and Cooking as I really enjoy that show.

Still no new comments on this site. I suppose now that Kim doesn't comment here now, there probably isn't that much to say but someone could still say how good James is and that his food is nice. The only thing I don't like about his show is when he has that gardening segment. I just wish he would stick to cooking, but at least when that segment does come on, it gives me time to either go to the bathroom or to make a quick cup of coffee. I think that these shows of James are repeats, but it is good to see them again. I hope he will make some new shows soon.

Hi Queenise and all, I agree, this site has been very quiet. In the past, Kim had stirred many of us and I did visit this site frequently while she was making many claims. I hope she never returns because her comments were unkind. Anyway, I remain a great fan of James. He cooks meals that are not that complicated and are tasty. I recently purchased a slow cooker and I am trying to adapt recipes. Is everyone enjoying watching masterchef. I certainly am hooked. If you haven't been watching, you should. On all Friday nights there is the Master class. I learn lots of techniques and try many of the recipes. Happy cooking.

This is about the 10th time I have been to this site and still there are no more comments. Where is Lia, Goldie, Cautions, Twilight etc. They haven't been on this site for quite some time, not even Kim has made anymore comments either. I love James's cooking. He makes a lot of nice things.

My mum once made a very nice sponge cake. She filled it with strawberry jam and dusted it with icing sugar and she left it on the side bench to rest. When she came back, the neighbour's cat climbed through the window and was eating big chunks from the cake. She had to throw the rest of it out. She was surprised as she didn't think that cats liked cake in the first place.

This isn't one of Jame's recipes, but was 'featured' on his show a week or so ago with Suzi. "Moist MICROWAVE Carrot Cake". Have to admit, hadn't heard too many good reports on microwave cakes (James wasn't too keen once he realised Suzi was making a microwave cake) though thought differently after I watched this episode. Made it earlier on this week and was so totally surprised at how yummy it was. Sent the recipe off to others and gave 'samples' to friends....... SO QUICK, SO EASY and SO TASTY. I kept it in for another two minutes (10 mins all up) as I have an older microwave with lower wattage and had to have it sit longer before it firmed up. Only took about half an hour all up to prepare and cook this cake (helped grating the carrots in the food processor). Had trouble finding a Bundt pan for the microwave, tried many department and kitchen speciality shops, finally found a silicon one at Target for around $17-$18.00. Once the cake separates from the pan easily enough, it's ready to turn out. I didn't make the icing as it didn't need it and I won't use as much sugar next time either.

Where is everybody? Everytime I go to this site or any other sites, I have noticed that no one has made any comments lately. I love reading other people's comments as I find them to be very interesting. My friend has just recently put me onto James and I am hooked. I have been watching his shows all the time now and he cooks a lot of nice food which is so easy to make. I might change a few things round as sometimes he put some ingredients that I don't eat, but I use his recipe as a base. He made something the other day and used grated cucumber. I hate cucumbers so I will use grated zucchini instead.

I just LOVE James. I just LOVE his cooking. So easy for a hopeless cook like me.

I liked today's recipe for encrusted Roo steaks. What could I use instead of Macademias without altering the crust taste/texture?

Thank you Goldie for that advise. Can you tell me why you always add a couple of teaspooms of baking powder when making cakes. Hope everyone had a peaceful Easter. I spent some time with the whole family. Now we are due to celebrate Mother's Day. So happy Mother's Day to all and have a great day!!

Made two Jaffa cakes for Easter - one chocolate. Was 'too heavy' for my liking. If anyone else plans on baking this cake - just a few pointers..... I'd make a meringue with the egg whites and little sugar then mix the egg yolks with remaining sugar in a separate bowl as per recipe and gradually add the juice/zest and flour a little at a time with a hand whisk ONLY unless you have a very slow speed on your electric mixer. I'd then FOLD in the meringue. Make sure when making the 'Jam', that you only simmer on low heat otherwise the sugar will crystallize. I always add a couple of teaspoons of baking powder as well when making cakes. You really don't need 600ml for the ganache either, smaller one is sufficient unless you like a REALLY THICK coating!!!!! Tasted nice all the same.......

We had people over on Easter Sunday and my brother made James Budget Beef Mignon dish which was served with Bok Choy cups and it was very nice. Everyone who tried them thoroughly enjoyed them. James does make a lot of nice easy dishes which look nice and tasty as well.

James made a nice Flat Rolled Salmon Omelette today. The only thing is I am allergic to eggs so if I make it, I will use those flat Tortilla rolls instead as I think that would do a nice job too.

I have made the sago pudding and it was a hit with the whole family. Haven't made the Jaffa Cake. Today saw JR make a melon and cucumber salad with Prawns....I intend to make it for the family at Easter.

Thank You Twilight and Lia. Happy Easter to you both as well as anyone else who reads this forum - double celebration with Australian and Greek Easter the same time this year. Should be thinking about Easter treats to bake, will make some sago pudding as well after this mornings show (haven't had sago for years). Also checked out the recipe for the Jaffa Cake mentioned previously and printed it off, sounds yummy, anyone made it?

Looking forward to his Semolina Cake to air (did mention that he’d try to bake one almost a fortnight ago). I make one every year for my husband’s birthday (my Greek heritage). Always willing to try different recipes as have done over the years, will be interesting to see how he makes his. On a personal note: nobody seems to be having a go at your children Kim, it’s just you, your language, bitterness and utter contempt. Understandable to be disappointed at the behaviour of your children’s father and his family (then again, we don’t know the circumstances and don’t really care as it’s none of our business), but to hold in so much anger as I mentioned before is not healthy. You can see by what and how you write that your mind is racing at an almighty speed as you’re all over the place. You need to find a way to deal with it and accept what is (concerning you). Communication between James and his kids may or may not happen in the future - could be a bit off putting if he reads this forum and apparently others, would scare me off! I personally can’t understand relationships like that although have seen and worked with families that fall into worse categories. All happened decades ago and you’re mistaken Kim if you think that I’m giving him or anyone an excuse about only being 20 as a reason for neglect. You mentioned in one of your tirades that James and his kids were trying to re-connect before his new baby was born, give it time, stay out of it (I know that’d be hard, take deep breaths) and maybe in the future things will be sorted. Now, can we stick to the cooking…... Not sure what all those additives above are, have retyped, hopefully is readable this time.

I too am not getting paid by JR to comment on this forum either. I am a big fan of his and I love watching his cooking show. He makes a lot of nice simple dishes which are not too hard to make. I don't make comments about his private life as I feel that is his business. Kim, I hope you will have a great Easter and find happiness in your life.

Kim, are you suggesting I am paid by JR to writre on this forum? When you are wrong.....very wrong. I am just one of his fans. It is unexplainable what he has done to your children and I am sure they are hurting as well. I hope that one day you will resolve all the issues you have with him. I certainly can understand JR for not wanting to contact you, but his two beautiful children......well I can't understand that. I still don't believe that this is the best forum to express your anger at JR and all of his supporters. May you find peace in your heart Kim.

James made a really nice roast chicken dish this morning. It looked so nice and succulent it just made my mouth water. Also his Steak Dianne looked nice too. I am amazed that we haven't heard from Kim for a while, but I had better not talk too soon as the bad penny has a habit of turning up again.

Oh Twilight, how lovely you are back. I also saw James cook the soup with the parsnip chips. Looked really yummy. It's sa great soup to make on one of those cold days. I haven't visited Gordon Ramsay's or Jamie Oliver's site.....Mmmmm might look into it. Think Gordon Ramsay is a bit of a tosser. It is a good thing that m/s Kim is avoiding this site.

I thought exactly the same thing. Not one has made any comments either. Maybe all those people might be busy cooking or something like that. I have also commented on Huey's site, Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver, those two Chefs from MKR etc. I am not too keen on that show called Good Chef/Bad Chef. I have watched a couple of episodes but can't really get into it. I prefer watching Huey. James made a very nice Country Winter Veggie soup with parsnip chips this morning. I have printed it out and will keep it aside for when the cold weather starts. I thought now that it was been very wet these last few days, there might of been a few more comments on this site, but at least there hasn't been anymore comments from Kim.

How disappointing is this site!! It has been 12 days since Maria commented and nobody has needed to make further comments. Oh well.......Where are the beautiful people who love cooking?

It is a real pain when they take a show off and replace it with something else. I don't have Foxtel. I watch James at 9am on GEM each morning and he was at Cockatoo Island this morning. It was good too. Kim hasn't been on for a while, but better not talk to soon as she may come back. I read one of her earlier comments saying that she will keep coming back to this site from time to time so we mightn't have yet heard the last from her.

I was disappointed yesterday when JR show was not on in the afternoon......instead 2 episodes of Hi 5. Yes, the Malt cake was pretty special. Mmmmmmmm, no sign of Kim......?????

I watched James this morning and he made that malt cake. It looked very nice and even my brother thought it was nice. He does some of the cooking as well so he said that he may give it a go sometime as well.

Thanks for letting me know. He also made a Jaffa cake which looked nice and I have printed out the recipe. I also saw the clip of him making it as well. I was going to make some of James's beef spring rolls and some of his chicken pastries for my nephew's 21st which is on in a few weeks time, but my sister has now decided to have it catered as there is going to be over 80 people there so I might make them sometime later.

It was called a Malt Loaf. He also made Sweet Coconut Rice. Do you know if the shows are "repeats", as the recipes are in the 2009 version of his recipes?

Twilight, did you see JR cook a cake today? He said it was one of his mother's recipes. He also said she was a really good cook. MMmmmmmm I think I will try and cook that sometime.

I too don't know why she uses this site to write her comments, maybe she think that think that James might read them. I wonder if he does as I feel that he mightn't have the time to read all these comments as he must be very busy. She might just to that as she knows it pisses us up. I am sorry Kim, you have miss understood our comments because NO ONE has belittled your son and I don't believe anyone has suggested that you were an inadequate mother. Someone said he was a good looking lad, obviously taking after his father and not you. I really don't believe that JR and his family would make "light" of his injuries either. You still haven't resolved your anger issues......so many of the readers on this forum have told you, over and over again, that this is not the appropriate forum to vent your feelings. Not one person has told you that you don't have the right to vent them, just that no one likes you doing it on this cooking forum. It is difficult for me to believe that your adult children are aware of the comments you have made about JR and his family, not only on this site, but on others. In actual fact, you were venting out on this site well before your son sustained his injuries. I don't think you know what the word "TRUTH" means Kim. Goldie, has suggested you start your own forum.....what a great idea! Let us all delight in Jame's cooking abilities and love him because we see him as a great chef, NOT a miserable LOOSER, like you say he is.

Welcome to the site Goldie. I too am a big fan of James and he does cook a lot of nice food. I have made a few of his dishes in the past and they taste very nice. I agree that Kim should start her own website if she wants to have a dig at James as this is supposed to be a cooking forum. I thought that she had gone for good, but it looks like I was wrong.

First time on this site, have enjoyed watching James' cooking shows for years on ABC, Ch 9., Foxtel and now Gem. His is a delight to watch, even my husband has a laugh with some of his antics - his recipes aren't too bad either!!!!! Friends also love watching him. Was very surprised though to read all the above comments, totally inappropriate for this site. Holding in such resentment and hate for so many years will only cause ill health ( had a friend pass iin her prime with similar anger issues). You may have two children who don't have contact at the moment with their father, but we don't know the circumstances that led to that outcome, nor is anyone else's business. If you (motherof2/Kim192) really wish people to communicate and side with you, maybe you should have your own website. I wish James and his new wife and family all the best (not having a dig at you Mrs ex), and hope that James can eventually sort things out with his other children without any negative interference. Just remember - James was only a 'boy' when fathering his children, one would hope that we would've all 'grown-up' and matured in the twenty-plus years since. Denigrating one's reputation through bitterness is not the way.

I just printed out James's beef spring roll recipe as they looked very nice. My nephew will be 21 in a few weeks time so I thought that I would make them and take them to his 21st. I have noticed that Kim is back so we might hear from Cautious again. I am certain not a nasty, sad, lonely person and I don't say anything nasty about anyone.

well people so glad some of you enjoyed reading about my brave boy just one of many!! it was jr's family and jr himself making disgusting comments about my son and his injuries that prompted me into venting my sheer frustration and anger on this site. i have skimmed through some of your vile and spiteful comments but you know keep it coming cos yes they are adults and fully aware of my comments. send it all 2 my son he will delete as he receives!! but go ahead anyway. i will not have my 20yrs as a parent or my son's life be-littled on any public forum after so makin yrs of neglect by the reeson clan. so my small advice to all you sad nasty disrespectful and lonely ***ers is to leave me to vent how i choose. fb and this is not ideal but if i wish to embarrass myself or jr then dont read!! simple really.

James will be on in a few minutes time so I will be watching him. He is on GEM so it will be very interesting to see what he will be cooking today. I have printed out a lot of his recipes lately and will give them a go soon. It is funny that he blames Mr Buzzy when things go wrong, just like old Huey blames Mr Moon. I had a Mr Buzzy flying round the kitchen a little while back so I grabbed a can of fly spray and shot him down in flames. I have to admit that it is so nice that Kim is no longer making any more comments on this site, but I also miss reading Cautions replies. I too used think that he was JR, although he did say he wasn't. I sometimes wonder if out of the blue, she might turn up again sometime in the future.

I watched JR yesterday and he was preparing 3 dips, one of which was a beetroot dip. Felt sorry for him, as he got a splash of beetroot on his shirt.......of course it was Mr. Buzzy's fault. Naomi cooked a really simple chicken roast. It looked yummy. My roasts never turn out like that. I am sure it has something to do with the kind of oven one has. I have a St. George's oven, it wasn't cheap. It just doesn't crisp up the potatoes or pumpkin. Has anyone any ideas for making really crispy baked veges?

I am very happy that Kim has not returned, but the consequence of that is cautious has also limited his comments. I know that Cautious once claimed that he was not JR.....now I am not sure. I believe that Kim is not abusing us all because she knows how easy it would be for one of us to send her son a copy of her crude writings. The Newspaper gave a lot of detail. I also enjoy watching Jamie Oliver cook, he has some great recipes. I managed to get his recipe book from a chef friend of mine. To be honest, I haven't cooked many of his recipes. Happy cooking.

I can't believe it, It is been nearly a month since we last heard from Kim and hopefully she won't return. Now that she has gone, we probably won't hear much from Cautions. I liked reading his remarks. As well as James, I am also a big fan of Jamie Oliver and I wanted to buy his 30 minute meal recipe book. I saw it once, but I didn't have enough money that day to buy it, but after that I haven't been able to get it anywhere. In the end I had to order it from the UK and it actually turned out to be a lot cheaper including the postage than what it was in the shops here.

Sandy, I have bought both of his cookbooks...series 1 and 2. Ordered them from his alive and cooking site. I can recommend them. I don't believe that you can buy them any other way.

I think that James is good too and he makes a lot of nice things. I think that the only way to obtain one of his cookbooks is to order them online as I don't think that they are available in the shops as of yet. I haven't seen them in the shops so just go to the Alive and Cooking site and check it out.

I am having trouble sourcing James reeson cookbooks can any one help. I find his cooking style fresh and interesting. I would like him to indicate the shooting locations for some of his shows as it would be good for local tourism and let the rest of us know if we live near some of these really pretty places. Keep up the good work.

I am trying to keep cool, so far I haven't yet melted away. I went for a walk early this morning to get the paper and it was already 36 degrees. It got to over 40 later in the day. A couple of months back I saw Fast Ed doing a cooking demonstation at my local shopping mall. It was nice to see him there and I once heard that Huey was at the bookshop there promoting his new cookbook, but I missed out on seeing him there. Hopefully one day I might see James there.

Hope everyone is keeping cool. I love trying new salad recipes. When I went to the growers market the other week, some chef was demonstrating how to make a watermelon and fetta salad. It is so refreshing to have in this hot weather.

I will be glad when all this hot sticky weather is over. I don't feel like doing much cooking during this weather and I mainly stick to salads. James has made a lot of nice things lately so I have printed out his recipes and I file them in my folder and will have a go at them when it cools down. This hot weather also brings out the creapy crawlies. I went to throw something in the bin last night and I saw two big cockies running round the yard which nearly gave me a heart attack. I got the spray and gave the place a good spray and found them dead this morning.

I will see how I go. I might get a job delivering pamphlets or something like that. I don't have many skills, I just know basic computer skills so hopefully I might find something in the future, but I plan to have a break for a while. I haven't yet made that beef, mushroom and potato pie. I will do that over the weekend. It has just been too hot here lately and the heat is making me feel sick at times. I am also going through menopause which doesn't make things easy either. The doctor doesn't think that HRT is necessary as I am not losing my hair or have any problems with my bones. I read that article about Kim's son. I couldn't get into that site that Flower girl sent, but I did a google search of Luke and I got some info on that. Glad to see you back Twilight. I am semi-retired and enjoying it. Only you will be the one who can decide when it is time to retire. Sometimes it will depend if you are financially able to. You may not be able to find work in the area of your skills, but that does not mean you will not be able to enter into a different line of work. Did you make that beef, mushroom and potato pie? sounds yummy. Good idea to avoid carbs after 5pm. if you are trying to reduce your weight. Also, you should consider joining a walking group in your area. I have and it is great. Organised through the Heart Foundation, with joining fee. Just google it for more information. Isn't it great that Kim hasn't been abusing us all? I hope her son, Luke, was made aware of what his mother was saying about JR. Hi, I am back. I have been on holidays for a while. I was also made redundant at work due to new technology and I am now seriously thinking of retirement. I have now been watching James on GEM every morning and he has been making a lot of nice food and I have printed out a few of his recipes. He made a nice beef, mushroom and potato pie which I might make for a Sunday lunch as I don't eat carbs after 5pm as I am trying to watch my weight. I have also noticed that Kim hasn't been on for quite some time. She has either gone on holidays or she has ran out of things to say.

I am waiting for series 2 of the Alive and Cooking DVD to be released. I have already got series 1 and it is really good so I hope that series 2 will be released soon.

Well, I drove to Sydney yesterday, Australia Day, and witnessed a person throwing rubbish out of a car. Gee I really hate that. Why do people throw rubbish out of cars or leave rubbish????? Is it poor parenting??......as my children never did it when they were small and don't do it now when they are all grown up. I also hate smokers who throw their cigerette butts on the ground. Truly there is no reason for it. Australia Day was a great day....a bit hot, but great. My friend marinated some chicken and lamb skewers and made the most tasty peanut satay sauce. She is a cook that doesn't use recipes but cooks from experience. So trying to get a recipe from her is almost impossible.

My husband and I are very big fans of James and every weekend he likes to make some of his dishes. Today he made his Swiss Roll recipe, but he kept on asking me for advice on how to do it. He had to pick a day when I had a bad migraine and he was driving me mad as I was feel very sick with it. In the end I told him to read the recipe properly and follow the instruction and stop bugging me.

I decided to cook some fish cocktails for dinner tonight. It is a warm night so I thought that i would cook something light. All of a sudden I heard this loud miaowing at the back door. The neighbour's cat must of smelt the fish and he was kicking up hells delight and scratching at the screen door. I cut a few pieces off and gave it to him which he eat like anything. I made some salad to go with the fish cocktails and they turned out very nice and my friends who I invited over for dinner really enjoyed them. I am amazed that Kim hasn't written anything lately. Looks like she has ran out of things to say.

Hi Suzanne, this site was a cooking forum before Kim/Motherof2 visited it and abused everyone who said a positive thing about James Reeson. Kim/Motherof2 (the same person), is apparently James's EX, and the mother of his 2 children......who are young adults now. She is one nasty person and a number of us have told her to go and get a life and deal with her anger.

I have just retired from work and I really love watching these cooking shows. I used to set my VCR to record Huey before I left for work as I loved watching him. I was annoyed that you had to pay for his recipes but now you get them from free. A friend of mine has just put me onto Alive and Cooking so I started to watch that and I think that it is great. James is a whole lot better than Huey and this weeks shows has been filmed from Albury/Wodonga. Today he made these nice Tandoori Chicken wraps. They looked so nice I wished that I could have put my hand through the TV to grab one so i will definately get the recipe off the site soon. This is also my first time I have visited this site and who is this person called Kim? She sounds like a nasty person. To me James looks like a very nice person.

So far, so good. Maybe she has had her say and hopefully she will stay away, or maybe she has only gone on holidays and will be back soon. Hopefully not for a while.

I can't believe it. There hasn't been anymore comments from Kim for a while now. Hopefully this site will now be reverted to what is originally was supposed to be. A cooking forum where people can exchange recipes instead of nasty comments.

I don't believe it, there hasn't been any comments from Kim these last few days, maybe she is concerned that her comments might get sent to her kids. I am finding during these hot sticky days I feel like doing a lot of cooking and I mainly concentrate on making salads and fruit salads for meals. Sometimes I might cook a piece of fish or steak or a chop and have it with salad. The other day I bought a BBQ chook home for dinner. It must of smelt nice as the neighbour's cat followed my home right up to my back door. I had to give him some as I do love cats. He purred when he ate that as well

About the small cherry tomatoes.....remember I said I would check the name of one of the varieties I have in the garden. Well, it is called tomatoberry!!!!!! Yes, it looks like a cherry tomato with a slight pointed end. I also have a cherry tomatoes which when ripe is "yellow" in colour. Apparently it is a less acid tomato. The tiny tim cherry tomatoes I grow was initially grown by my father over 5 years ago. The tomatoberry is a variety that can be easily grown in a pot. Heh guys, where are the great chutney recipes? Does anyone think that Kim might be concerned that her comments might be sent to her children?

Hope things work out for you Eileen with the new boyfriend. Kim is certainly one very bitter person. I not sure she wants to be any different. She has been a sad, angry and bitter person for so long, it has become a way of life. It would be good if she didn't use this forum to express her feelings. She is such a foul-mouthed person as well. I have tried to encourage "cooking" dialogue, but Kim seems to bring discussions back to the gutter.

I have been reading a lot of Kim's comments and she sounds like a very bitter person. I know what it is like as my husband left me for another woman once as well but I got on with my life. He had two big German shepherd dogs which he really loved but couldn't take them with him as his new lady friend lived in a flat. I hated those dogs as their barking drove me round the bend so I took them to the animal shelter and I got myself a cat. My kids are now grown up and live away from home and I am living on me own at the moment, but I love it. Funny thing is, I bumped into an old boyfriend a few weeks back and found he had never married so I am starting to see him again.

I agree with you cookie, James is one of the great chefs we are able to watch on TV. Gordon Ramsay is not one of my favourites, he is a bit crude for my liking. However, isn't it just wonderful to be able to see some of these great chefs cook? I am continually trying out new recipes, when I am not controlling the floods in Queensland, NSW, Victoria, fighting the fires in Western Australia and helping the thousands of people throughout Australia. See Kim/Motherof2, I am not a looser.

I am a big fan of James and I watch his shows whenever I can. I also like Huey, Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay. If none of them are on TV, then I put on one of my Andre Rieu DVDs as I think that he too is great.

I've given up reading the comments that Kim makes as they don't make any sense. I think that it is about time she took a course in how to spell and write correctly.

Has anyone used a Fowlers Preserving unit? I remember my mother buying it when I was just a girl. Apparently, my parents had planned to use it to preserve all the excess fruit and vegs. which was grown in own garden. I think they used it once............very sad. Anyway, I am the proud owner of it now and hope to use it.

I have lots and lots of Tiny Tim Tomatoes and believe you can only eat so many tomatoes in a day. I have been given a preserving fowlers unit, but have never used it. It may be possible to preserve the tomatoes using that unit. Anyway, thanks again.

Hi Lia Just found this recipe for homemade tomato sauce off the net a few minutes back. Hope it will come in handy. Homemade Tomato Sauce 1.5kg Tomatoes (Approx 12 large) peeled and chopped, strain seeds and reserve liquid 140g tub of tomato paste 2 teaspoons salt 1/3 cup (75g) sugar Method Chop tomatoes in a large pan with the tomato paste, salt and half of the reserved liquid, bring to the boil and reduce heat to medium Stir frequently with a wooden spoon, breaking up the tomatoes as they soften Cook the sauce until most of the liquid has evaporated. This should take 35-40 minutes Meanwhile, combine sugar and remaining tomato liquid in a small saucepan, heat until sugar has dissolved; set aside.Check the tomato sauce after 35 minutes, when you can draw a spoon through the sauce and it holds a line for a few moments on the bottom of pan without looking watery (parting of the red sea) add the sugar syrup Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring continuously Puree tomato mixture using a food processor or a stick blender. Pass through a sieve using a metal spoon or small ladle to force through Pour into sterililised bottles or jars

No Helen I haven't grown sweet corn. I don't grow many vegetables, just some tomatoes, lettuce, snowpeas and lots and lots of herbs. I think it is great to walk out to the backyard, collect some herbs and then cook a wonderful tasty meal for the special people in your life. I don't have much time to mess around with complicated recipes, that's why I like JR's recipes. Have to confess, I do like his humour and therefore enjoy watching him cook..........some women find him very attractive.......have to agree, however, I am just interested in his cooking style. Of course, Kim will agree, he is sexy!!!!!

Just finished watching JR.....he is great!!!!!!Made a very interesting walnut,apple salad. I am going to try it tonight. Hope I can find some dill herb in the garden. I have just finished watching Alive and Cooking and that Scallop Chowder that James made looked very nice. I would have loved a bowl of that myself with a nice piece of crusty bread, I think that would have made a very nice meal.

I am a big fan of JR and I used to watch Alive and Cooking when it was on TV, but I was very disappointed when it was taken off. I recently found it on one of the digital channels so I am able to watch it again and enjoy it. Glad to hear you had a wonderful Christmas Lia and I hope everyone else did too and I hope that 2011 will bring peace and happiness to all. I agree with her in one way, she has the right to express her disgust and anger. What I do not like, is her using this forum to do that. Motherof2, you really are full of ***.....you keep on writing that JR is a liar,etc.etc but it appears that only thing he is guilty of is leaving you and his children 20 years ago. He is under no obligation to support his 2 children with you now. They are old enough to support themselves. As for emotional support......well that is different. Perhaps your 2 children are very much like yourself and he just doesn't want to deal with it. You are one sick puppy and should be locked away. By the way, the gingerbread house I made for christmas, using Fast ED Recipe, was absolutely fanastic. Had to add more spices.

hey there bronwyn good to read ur comments an id like to reply by sayin that had the **** and i waited i would never have had my children as i most def would have grown up and realised he was never a father/honourable man in the makin! so i'm glad we did wot we did for only 1 reason and thats that my kids were born and have given me and mine so much joy! but its very clear that its taken reeson very much longer 2 be responsible but its also very clear that he is still a coward and a liar and very much has his head focused on himself and his pathetic family.i nursed fed and educated my children. i worried, disciplined and made un-pleasant decisions, long term commitments and had so many sleepless nights its very clearly been worth it but now i have every right 2 express my disgust hate an anger towards the *** who in my oppinion portrays himself as cleancut family orrientated and kid friendly! lies lies lies as bronwyn u may already read about reeson has not and does not emotionaly, finacially or physically support my kids in any way shape or form. that also goes for his family who have lived less than 350 miles away for 20yrs!!!

I have been out for a few hours and I can't believe the amount of comments that have been posted here since I last read it. I usually just sit on the sidelines and read, but I thought that I would make my mark as well. I like many others thought that this site was just a cooking site, but it is more exciting than that. I think that maybe the reason why James and his wife split, they were too young when they got married. Maybe if they waited a few years, they maybe still together. I had a friend who got married when she was 18 and it only lasted 10 years and they have two kids but her ex does support them.

Yeh, lots of excitement......unbelievable!!!!! It has been two days since Kim has commented on this forum. We can only hope that she realises that this is a cooking forum and not suitable for venting anger or should I say rage. Anyway, cooked one of James's Tapioca recipes tonight.....had to mix a tin mango at the end of cooking the tapioca. It was really nice, guess you could add peaches or perhaps apples instead of the mangoes. Has anyone cooked tapioca or sago?

Now about that Christmas cake.......has James ever cooked a Christmas cakes on one of his shows? I would also like to know if anyone has a good gingerbread recipe? I have had many attempts to cook gingerbread men and last year a gingerbread cake for Xmas, but the recipes seemed to lack enough spice. In the past, I have not just doubled the amount of spices, but tripled the amount. This Xmas, I am going to attempt to cook Fast Ed's gingerbread house, which is in the Better Homes and Gardens Book.

Does this mean that Kim won't be making anymore comments on this site? This site will get boring again. I like reading her comments as I find them very amusing.

I am a mother of two children, Kim and they are both very successful. My son is an IT expert and my daughter an accountant. Both my children earn over $100,000 per year. I have also had a very successful life......I have worked and studied very hard all my life......I have a Masters Degree in Business Management. So there...Kim...you think you know all, but you don't. After reading your comments, I believe you are a very troubled individual. I do hope your negative and hateful feelings about people, James and life, haven't rubbed off on your children. Awhile back, I suggested you seek help......just forget about this site and go and get help. I don't know who you are Cautious, but you say it like it is. I totally agree with you, it is very likely that James realised he made a big mistake having children with Kim and I think he believed that his two children would end up like their mother. That could be the reason why he didn't contact them. Tell us all Kim, what do you want James to do? What would it take for you to go away? You said your daughter wants nothing but answers and somes connection with her father. You are trying to destroy his reputation and in so doing that you are destroying your own. I can't believe that you, Jeanetta, would suggest something like that. I guess it is difficult for you to think of something intelligent to write on this forum. For those people who prefer watching Huey and other chefs.....why not keep watching them? If you don't like watching James, STOP watching him!!! It is not rocket science. When I was growing up, I was taught that if you don't have something nice to say .....DON 'T SAY ANYTHING. I believe that James deserves more respect as a chef. He presents his show in an entertaining way and he sures has a lot of knowledge about the recipes he demonstrates. His private life should not be questioned. I really am annoyed that people like his EX (Kim 192) use this forum to talk about James and what a terrible father he was. Truly Kim, he left you over a decade ago, you really need to get over him or could it be that you secretly regret that he left you because you love him? I have to admit, my sister wasn't a bit fan of James. She thought he was stupid and said that she prefers watching Huey. She didn't like his first show when he stuck those chocolate pieces all over his face. She said that although Huey can be a bit silly at times, she said even he wouldn't have done anything that silly.

I would like to stick James in the kitchen with Gordon Ramsay to see how the two would go on together. I would also like to see him get together with Iain Hewitson as Iain is a very nice bloke and is also a great cook.
