The Norman Hotel

Steak House

102 Ipswitch Road, Woolloongabba QLD 4102

Ph. (07) 3391 5022

The most significant innovation in the hotel’s history has been the addition of a 600 seat steakhouse in September 1988.

The hotel set out to develop a reputation for providing the best meat sourced from all over Australia and provide quality meals at an affordable price in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Their vision has borne fruit with the hotel gaining an enviable reputation as being the best purveyor of steaks in Brisbane, a reputation which goes beyond the city boundaries with intrastate, interstate and even overseas visitors looking forward to a Norman steak. Since the launch of the Steakhouse in 1988 the Hotel has served well over an estimated one million meals, with that number growing daily!

how could you go past the Norman for the best modern australian - good old steak - never a bad meal in the 10 years that my family have been eating there - shame about the fire - we miss our steaks

The atmosphere in the garden bistro is always friendly and typically Queensland.
The steaks are second to none and always done to perfection.
This establishment should be Heriatge Listed.
Very sad to see it partly burn down on Friday 5 June 2009, but like the Pheonix it will surely rise from the ashes better than ever. Long live the Norman Hotel and all who regularly dine at the Worst Vegetarian Restaurant in Australia.
