Schatzi's

Friendly staff, wonderful food and a lovely cosy atmosphere. I had a terrific meal there last night. I hadn't been there for a while and I felt like it was just last week. Also great for coffee, breakfast - anytime.

Fantastic, Delicous, Mouth-Watering Food (the eye-fillet is to die for), Sensational Coffee (best I've ever tasted), Reasonable Prices, Great Atmosphere, Cater for all the family, Theme Nights, Friendly Staff and last but not least, the owners Frank and Rose are always very welcoming. We, as a family having been going there for years and the standard is always extremely high. Finally, a touching finish for patrons who are celebrating their birthday, and Frank happens to find out, he will come out of the kitchen to sing Happy Birhtday (don't tell him I told you). Wonderful people, terrific place. GOOD LUCK to Schatzi's.

not only is the food excellent at this tiny little restaurant, but the staff and service are very special, the food and presentation that comes out of this tiny little kitchen is amazing. A dozen of us travel up by train to Woodend from Melbourne at least two to three times a year to dine here fro lunch, we eat out at restaurants at least twice a week but this place is a little gem and a great find.

I love the variety of flavours in one dish, I love the clever use of ingredients. I am a huge fan of the quality and consistency of the food! The desserts are to die for and made me travel interstate from Queensland to try them after hearing raving reviews!!

Great food, great service, friendly atmosphere... The lovely coffee goes great with Oma's Apple cake, which is to "die for " A real Gem in the beautiful town of Woodend... go Schatzi's !!!!

Cosy, Intimate, friendly staff, good well priced food. Open 7 days a week breakfast, lunch and dinner. great coffee and cake _ "Oma's apple slice" for $6.00. It is well worth a visit.

Since my husband and I learnt about Schatzi's we have been back many many times and we have tried almost everything on the menu. It's ALL been fantastic, atmosphere cosy, service always friendly, servings a decent size. Food is always cooked to perfection.

Love the small intimate environment, very friendly staff, the great meals that come from such a small kitchen, presentation of food, no loud music.

Every single dish at Schatzi's is DELICIOUS!! I have never had a bad meal there, and everything is so full of flavour. The owner/chef is really friendly too.

This has been the most pleasurable experience in dining. There is nothing to fault in the welcoming friendly service and the fine foods offered and prepared by Frank the cheff. I would recomend to anyone wishing to enjoy a peaceful night out in a relaxed atmosphere. The best there is on every level.

I just ate at Schutzi's and never want to dine out anywhere else. Its worth the long drive to get there and everything was the best food, service and atmosphere. Good on you Frank and the best of luck with this comp.

This is by far the best dining experience I have ever had. The food is amazing, the serice is friendly and nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the cheff is always ready to great and meet his patrons. I could not rate this restaurant too highly.

Every time we have dined the food is amazing. All staff are friendly and take time with you. Nothing is too much trouble. The chef is always willing to please. Best Breakfast in the world. Great atmosphere. Will always keep going back.

Schatzi's has the best food in Melbourne! We have been there aproximately 15 times for dinner and every time the meal is beautiful. We often bring friends and they always comment on how great it is. The steak with the hollandaise sauce is just amazing.

Open for all meals and coffee all week in a small town that needs such a high class,local service.

The best steak in the country. Hollandaise sauce on the steak is like no other. Both the garlic and chilli prawns are unbelievable, and I am not a seafood eater. Great Bruschetta. Excellent service, great coffee and desserts and fantastic service. BYO is a super add on. Love Schatzi's.

The food is consistently delicious, the owners, Frank and Rose care about their customers and staff, it shows in every way. We love eating at Schatzis, and look forward to celebrating many more special occasions at this wonderful little restaurant with a very big heart.

o.m.g,there eye fillet is the best I have ever had and I eat out alot.Then to finish off there creme brulle and a locally roasted coffee from a company called Grata.I challange everyone to try them and judge for yourself.The staff always make you feel at home and weve been going since they opened some 5 years ago and have never had a bad experience yet.GO SCHATZI'S.
