MPB Head Chef Vanessa Tayor is passionate about using locally sourced produce, from boutique suppliers, which is reflected in the quality of each dish. Vanessa’s distinctive seasonal menus offer everything from MPB’s infamous house-made, free-range Chicken Schnitzel, to grilled Salmon, Asian Style Prawn Salad, grass-fed Cape Grim Rib Sirloin, and a range of gluten-free and vegetarian options all at reasonable prices. The bar also offers a wide variety of inexpensive Cellar-Aged Australian wines from Martin Place Bar's private cellar. Favourites include Wynn’s 1998 ‘Coonawarra Estate’ Cabernet Sauvignon at $70 a bottle, 1997 Dalwhinnie ‘Moonambel’ Cabernet Sauvignon $68 and 2000 Carlei Estate ‘Jenmar Estate’ Shiraz $59.

Its great to know that we can do a work lunch at a pub/bistro in the heart of the CBD that offers an awesomely extensive menu to suit a variety of tastebuds without it hurting our pockets! For these reasons is why Martin Place Bar is gaining my vote as my favourite bistro/pub meal. My favourite meal being the very simple chicken schnitzel accompanied by salad and fries which seems to be well known of around the business sector of Martin Place! A simple meal to get wrong however every time i have consumed it at lunch.....or occasionally dinner.... it has always come through with being fresh and wholesome. My wife and I always have a great meal. The staff are friendly and it is a very relaxed atmosphere compared to many of the Sydney pubs and bars. The food is exceptional for a pub and the menu is always changing.

Lovely "unfussy" bistro food. The Housemade Selection of Dips is the perfect accompaniment to a drink or 2 with friends. Happy, friendly service. Loved the atmosphere, a lovely place for a catchup with friends.

I love going to Martin Place Bar, as the food is always superb and the bar staff are always friendly and efficient. The decor is lovely and is very relaxing; it is a good escape from the work place.

Good quality ingredients - neil perry says that's what makes up 90% of a meal. This place has nice fresh ingredients and doesn't kill the flavour off.

Martin Place Bar has great food and fantastic service, the staff are all so friendly, and the service is prompt and reliable.l It is also located conveniently in Martic Place in the city, great for lunch and after work for a great meal, and a drink. The menu has a great variety to choose from.
The staff are exceptionally friendly but efficient as well. The food is always prepared quickly and delivered with a minimum of fuss. The atmosphere is busy but inviting just the theme for a qucik but tasty business lunch with clients.

Such a great mid week destination. My friends and I had lunch there last week and sat outside on the terrace which was lovely. The food was seriously beautiful - fresh, wholesome, good value for money and full of flavour. I particularly enjoyed the Asian duck salad and the 'infamous' MPB chicken schnitzel went down an absolute treat with the boys. We'll definitely be back, probably for after work drinks tonight!
Martin Place Bar is great! I work in the city, so MPB has proved to be a real favourite for my colleagues and I for after work drinks. A new feature that we are beginning to LOVE is the ongoing promotion 'Lunch within the Hour', where you simply order your lunch online, and when you arrive there is no mucking around or waiting. This feature really allows us to enjoy our meals, which are always tasty and fresh!
