Those requiring gluten free dishes are well catered for with over 10 options available.
Along with the traditional entrée & main options, Livebait offers a selection of Chilled Crustaceans which can be ordered as an entrée, main, or as an addition to another dish. Options include; lobster, freshwater cray, prawns, crab and Moreton Bay Bugs.
Two seafood platters are on the menu for dining looking for something extra special.
The Sushi, Sashimi & Tempura Platter has Flamed salmon nigiri, soft shell crab, hosomaki and nori rolls, tuna & salmon sashimi, and a tempura of prawns, calamari & oysters 60 (Serves 2, starter size).
The Livebait Deluxe Platter is two tiered deluxe platter of oysters, sushi, pickled seafood, mussels, grilled king prawns, Moreton bay bugs, crab, calamari and fish of the day with a selection of sauces 120 (Serves 2, main size).

Exceptional ! A perfect evening from the moment we walked in,until we left. The whole baby snapper was cooked to perfection and wonderfully presented. My partner had the seafood linguine... which was delicious.... the flavours were delicate and the seafood was delightfully fresh and plentyful. Cannot recommend Livebait highly enough! Don't go here if you're expecting value for money. We ordered a prawn hot pot entree and was shocked when the food came out- It had four pieces of prawns for $19! The mains were also on the small side. Not something I'd pay the amount their charging for. Overall taste was ok but nothing special. Won't ever eat there again.
I love the ambience and views - A great place to go for a romantic dinner. The seafood is creatively cooked by experienced chefs.
Excellent quality food with great presentation & excellent service. Was very impressed & was a stand out place to dine. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Best seafood in town, not only is the food absoultly fantastic but the services, view are exceptional, this is a perfect restaurant that has everything you could ask for in a restaurant
Livebait is a fantastic dockland view restaurant. I went there with my boyfriend and had a table with a gorgeous tranquail view. The waiter was very helpfull and knowelageble about the food, and made us feel so special. Top top it the food was fresh and delicious - The delux platter was topped with everything you could imagine, with the most gorgeous sweet oysters. I would go back for my wedding!
Always fantastic ! Meals are absolutly delicious, cooked to perfection, well presented, great and attentive service. Desserts are also a must to try!
Fantastic food and surronds. Service was sincere and warming, we had a birthday and the waiters sang. it was perfect. The wine recomendation was suprisingly good too, a shenon blanc? i think. We will be back next time in town
