The picturesque view of white pure sand and serene crashing waves creates a mood, mostly found at holiday resorts.Crisp, clean white linen, a glass of champagne and the aura of fresh seafood cooked to perfection.Friendly staff.Quality at an affordable price.

JenZ 2 years agoAte there on Sunday. Emailed a week prior to make booking and inform them I'm a vegetarian. Asked if they could accommodate my diet was informed they have a good selection of veg meals. Turns out this is one dish on their menu (mains) and two entrees .A good selection??? Food was disappointing and service non existent. We dine out at least one a week so we are able to make an informed assessment. Would't go there again, much better places to eat in Wollongong -
Dianne17 2 years agoThis restaurant is fantastic. My husband and I had our wedding at the Lagoon last May. At 54 I finally found my soulmate and the lagoon made the day perfect!!!!! We could not fault anything. I had recently been in hospital and The Lagoon was able to provide a menu that enabled me to enjoy everything. They have even provided us with a $100 voucher for us to enjoy our wedding anniversary. When either of us wish to dine locally and somewhere special but at the same time in comfort...we choose the Lagoon everytime. Who needs Mauritus? -

Friendly staff, beautiful location, exxxxtremely great food. Absolutely wonderful place to share with overseas visitors, as it showcases the best Australian fare with our wonderful scenery to boot. It is no problem to ask the chefs for something different. You must try the Honey wafer dessert with mascapone cream and strawberries. Yum! -

I had my wedding at the Lagoon and they made my day perfect. Everyone commented on what a lovely day it was and how nice the food was. The staff were very attentive. -

Deborah20 9 months agoThe food is outstanding. There salt and pepper squid is the best i have ever tasted. They have an amazingly diverse menu. I am coeliac, and their wonderfuls chefs are extremely accommodating. The service is impeccable. An absolute top class restaurant.

Emma41 9 months agoThe Lagoon restaurant is set in the most beautiful setting, alongside the beach. With sensational food, superior waitstaff and the most amazing seafood this restaurant is easily a contenter for the best in NSW. One thing I really love is that you can have your main meal, and take a walk on the beach and come back to desert and coffee. What a great place to have a romantic dinner and set up for the perfect romantic evening. I still rave about a dish I ate there three years ago, and still try and try to replicate the dish at home- to no avail!! -

Delyse 9 months agoBaramundi Nick is the most yummiest of all the dishes however you are always garanteed a great meal when you go to the Lagoon and it has a gorgeous view over the Lagoon in North Wollongong.
The service is wonderful, the food is great and the atmosphere is excellent. All functions that are held there are always so professional run and you cannot fault them.

The service is always top class the staff are friendly, efficient . I enjoy going to the Lagoon with good friends for lunch or dinner. -

I have eaten in many top restaurants but nothing compares with Lagoon

They always takes good care of us plus it's so easy to take a pram there because it's so spacious. . We never hesitate to bring our kids when we dine there. Thanks Lagoon for making our dining so easy!!

Meeghan 9 months agowhere do i start!! the food is outstanding from entrees to dessert. the location is beautiful right opposite the beach and did i mention the food? the live lobster with ginger chilli garlic is to DIE for among many other selections. the menu is extensive and has something to please everybody :))))) luv luv luv the lagoon.

Tania19 9 months agoHad the most scrumpscious meal, everything was yumo. From the bread, to the entree's and the deliscious mains. But it was topped off by the most yummy desserts ever. What adds to this being such a great place to eat is the service. They did not put a foot wrong, they were there to fix everything but not bugging you all the time. I have to say this was the best meal, my husband & I had in a very long time.

Maree17 9 months agoLagoon has an amazing atmosphere, it is in a park and right on the beach. It is a large restaurant but still feels intimate. The food is excellent and presented beautifully.
The staff are attentive but unobtrusive. We always suggest Lagoon to visitors to the area.
It is our favourite restaurant. -

The menu is varied but not overwhelming and the lunch time specials are a brilliant addition for when we have less time. A terrific restaurant and function centre.

The service is the best i have experienced in our region, the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming, But most of all I enjoy the veiw always topped with a top quality glass of wine :) -

Just watching the chefs cooking your meal in the lovely outlook that is Wollongong’s North beach. I recommend the barramundi wrapped in bark. I just love that dish. -
Amy99 8 months agoMy husband and I had our wedding reception at the Lagoon Restaurant 3 years ago because the food is unbelievable, the taste and the prices are amazing.. We celebrate our anniversary there every year because the Restaurant is so special to us and the view is simply stunning... The staff are so polite and efficient it just makes your dining experience one to remember and you want come back time and time again... We have referred friends to the Lagoon for their wedding receptions and hope that they love it as much as we do.

The food is fresh and creative and plentiful you don't leave the restaurant hungry excellent value for money, and the ambience and decor of the restaurant is very modern/shek definitely better than it was prior to the rebuild and renovations.

The Service from the Staff is Fanstastic, Very Quick, Very Friendly and the Staff Smile.
The Kichen is open so you can see from your table the chefs working their masterpieces.
The Menu is large but not too large for you to choose from.
The Meals are presented beautifully, You look and eat with your eyes before you take that first mouthful.
The Meals and Desserts are plentiful, tasteful, and when you do finally leave, you leave Very Satisfied and Content with the intention of definately returning for another meal soon. -
Patricia70 8 months agoWhile my husband was working away from home in Wollongong, we found the Lagoon restaurant and frequented there so many times during his time down there.
We always ate AMAZING food! The service was always so down to earth and friendly.
It was such a comforting place to go back to each and every time, we felt so at home and knew we would always have top notch food and drinks there each time.
Taking friends there was always fun, we always looked forward to their 'that was FANTASTIC' comment at the end of the evening:) -

Natalie 8 months agoBecause the Lagoon Seafood Restaurant is the Doyles of Wollongong when it comes to freshest seafood. Mud crabs that beat Kingsleys Steak & Crab House. The staff are excellent, very helpful and the view over the water is the best in town, a must visit.

Ruth14 8 months agoExcellent service, great location, and wonderful variety of food on the menu. The food is always excellent. I have been a patron of the restaurant for over 20 years. We have hosted work colleagues, bureaucrats, directors and business associates to the restaurant and the people from elsewhere, are amazed that Wollongong has such a fine restaurant in such a beautiful location.
The staff is very professional and the owners are very involved with community support. -
Marianna 8 months agoCustomer Service is outstanding staff make sure you have a great experience by asking if you enjoyed the food and ask if they can do anything else for us. The location of the venue looking out at the ocean is amazing and very relaxing.
The food always taste great and the freindly staff make us come back for more. -

MS268 7 months agoMargie Took my husband for his birthday he had Barramundi I asked for Garlic Prawns but by mistake was given Ginger Prawns they were still very nice, I loved the cocktails as well. Going back for my birthday.
