Mark Chef and Owner has had 27 years experience in the hospitality industry spanning from Sydney, Adelaide and London and back to Grafton. Mark has a special passion for fine seafood after spending 3 years with the Flying Squid Brothers selling seafood into the top end restaurants in Sydney. He has cooked at a number of restaurants prior to opening Georgie’s eg. Jets Restaurant (Adelaide), Macleay Street Bistro (Sydney), bills café (Sydney) Nicole Farhi (London).
Judy Owner has had 10 years in the hospitality industry and has a background in retail and office administration. Originally from Adelaide Judy has had a long standing passion for food, ingredients and cook books and is actively involved in developing new menu ideas, in between caring for their young family of three girls on the home front.
Geoff Platt (brother in law) chef extraordinaire has worked in all facets of hospitality from cooking, teaching to owning restaurants. Geoff has a passion for new foods he is always trying something new he has read about and translating it to the plate in the restaurant. Geoff originally from Adelaide met Mark in Sydney at the Flying Squid Brothers later meeting Marks Sister, Annie, and subsequently became part of the family.
Vicki (sister) administration and guest services. Has her hand on the pulse behind the scenes making sure that all is running smoothly. She also pays everyone to keep everyone coming back to work so she is well liked.
Jodie (sister in law) makes a great home made tomato chutney that has featured on the Georgie’s Burger for 8 years. She has won many show prizes for her preserves.
If you are a visitor to Grafton this is a perfect place to enjoy country life and be treated like one of the locals.

Food at Georgies is consistently of a high standard. The food is always a 'little different' which makes it extra special. Their coffee is delicious and so are the desserts. Atmosphere is wonderful. Keep it up Georgies!
Fresh food consistently.Fabulous friendly staff.The care and love of food and their patrons is genuine and it shows- thats why we keep going back.They are family friendly too so I can teach my children what great food is available and what they can benchmark the great presentation and quality of food to any restaurant in any city in the world and we are lucky to have it in our own back yard in the country..Thank you Georgies we appreciate all your efforts.
I really enkoy relaxing in the courtyard with my family enjoying a beautiful cooked meal the wait staff are really nice and the food is excellent plus they have really good cake:)
I always received consistently excellent service whenever I go to Georgie's (even with they have new staff!) and the food is always fresh, fantastic and perfectly cooked. You feel like a member of the family when you are there, and it is very well-priced for a restaurant that offers so much.

The atmosphere is great. The waiters are fantastic & the food is just wonerful!
Georgie's has been the most consistent and long lived source of good food since I have lived in Grafton. It responds to change in the city and endeavours to serve and showcase local product. Influences include past contact by both Mark and Geoff with David Thompson which result in a strong Thai influence in some meals. Geoff's wide ranging experience in the heart of Adelaide also brings extra authority to much of their food. Georgie's have been able to achive this while keeping within the budgetary limits of any restaurant in many regional towns which do not enjoy the extra support enjoyed by other cities in wine growing regions or those located closer to major cities.

The friendliest staff, reliably fantastic food and the setting is to die for. I have never had a bad experience at Georgies, not even a so,so experience. Every time I go there I am impressed all over again.
