The restaurant seats up to 80 guests with both indoor and outdoor dining.
The indoor section has a complete bar with comfortable sofa’s and TV, ideal for a cocktail or wine, maybe a light meal from the lounge menu. It is also available for a pre-dinner drink, or desserts and coffee at the end of the night. This is the perfect place to unwind after your busy day.
The outdoor dining deck offers an intimate, relaxed atmosphere dinning by the boat filled marina watching the sunset.
Charcoal Oven international cuisine has strong Asian influences with charcoal roasted meats, poultry and top quality seafood including live mud crabs and local fresh wild fish.

Charcoal Oven serves up innovative and delectable food time and time again. The perfect place to take friends for a relaxed and intimate evening. The ever changing specials board is packed full of difficult decisions and the service is always impecable as well as personal.
I suggest coming hungry, as the portions are very generous and you will definitely want to make room for their signature deserts and ice cream martinis.
One of the nicest spots to eat in Darwin in terms of both food and atmosphere. Miso chicken was delicious and the sauce was perfect.
The ice cream martinis are highly recommended for dessert, too.
A big disappointment. Looking forward to a charcoal restaurant as the name would suggest, we struggled to find a dish on the menu that had any reference to charcoal. We were greeted promptly and seated but that is where any resemblance to a restaurant ened. Service was slow and staff had no knowledge of menu items or the basic elements of dining- this in included asking us if we wanted our entree as an entree even after we had placed our order for mains . Service is super slow. On fact I am writing this entry from my iPhone 1 hour after my entree plate was cleared. I have no high hopes for the $35+ main that we are told is on it's way.
the signature dish if chilli mud crab is to die for...thoe sort ofthing you would mortgage the house, put the wife into slavery and sell the kids. Nothing desperate ofcourse!
Cathy and her crew would run the best hidden 'asian food' secret in town. The eclectic ambiance is matched by great staff and superb food - consistently good from the best spring rolls in Darwin through to unbeatable fish/crabs and the whole box and dice.
The quiet relaxed atmosphere, the food is great especialy the live mudcrabs
