The restaurant was established in 1956 by Beppi and his wife Norma and is still owned and run by the family. Beppi's Restaurant is regarded as one of the most welcoming and hospitable Italian restaurants in Sydney with an unmatched tradition of providing exceptional food and service to four generations of Sydney diners. Beppi Polese has been responsible for the coaxing of the Australian palate out of its Anglo-saxon shell and introducing it to the flavours of his native Italy. Four generations of Sydney-siders have passed through the doors of Beppi's to this day in the same location as the first day it opened. Many Sydney-siders ate for the first time such modern mainstays of today's restaurants as mussels, octopus and artichoke at Beppi's (the mussels he harvested himself in a small boat scraping them off the pylons of the old wooden spit bridge, as he was unable to buy them).

Beppi's has been serving grreat food for as long as I can remember but has never lost it's attention to quality - closest thing to Italy this side of Roma
It has been my favourite restaurant for the past 30 years, great ambience, excellent service, not changed hands in so many years, not often do you enjoy quality of this calibre so consistent over time and run by the same family.
Beppis is the original Italian restaurant. It has the old world charm with the authentic Italian recipes. The owner and staff make your dining experience a wonderful night to remember.
The food is superb, the service is faultless, there is always a wonderful atmosphere there. Beppi's has a great wine list, you can even sit in a room which is like a cellar surrounded by bottles of wine to have your meal. Beppi's is also great for "star" spotting (i.e famous people not the ones in the sky). They take your car and even park it for you. This a great restaurant if you want a romantic night out with someone special.
I love not only the food which is exceptional but also the way you always feel welcome and relaxed whether you are dining alone, having a romantic dinner or a meal with your family.
