Our order was incorrect but even if they had gotten it right don't think it would have mattered much. Food was below average and with so much choice of great pubs around very disappointed wasted our time on this one.
This pub looks great, but needs to try harder, and/or something different. Tried to have a nice evening here, but the drinks order was duffed and then I got attitude from the person who got it wrong. Food order then duffed which really tested my nerves. Thought we'd relax after dinner with a cleansing ale, but some duff-duff music upstairs was disproportionately loud, and there were customers coming and going who should not have continued to be served alcohol IMHO. The venue has such potential and some years ago was great. The current owners seem to be confused about which target market they should be courting. Staff need a serious attitude readjustment. Food is passable.
Because its the best value, with fresh, quality ingredients and they offer a large variety of different meals. The meals also range in price from about $8 to about $30 (big steaks :) this way everyone can afford to eat here. The staff are friendly, well dressed and seem like they want to be there and genuinly help. We live in Naracoorte but when we travel 360km to adelaide I always get an Astor Burger or Lamb Burger.
