The goal of ambrosia is simple. To provide an inspirational, innovative and exciting eating and drinking establishment for those in the area, and to allow the availability of high quality catering provisions for the home. Embracing a 'tapa' and 'share platter' style of dining, we source new and varied ingredients from Australia and overseas, whilst also offering the more traditional dishes we all love. We also offer a large selection of local and imported wines as well as an extensive boutique beer & tap selection, making an experience at ambrosia café-bar-foodstore difficult to beat.
ambrosia (-z-) n. (myth.) food of gods; thing delightful to taste or smell. ~ial a. ambrosia was the food of the Gods and Goddesses in Greek mythology. It was often accompanied by the drink nectare in celebrations, and indeed, ambrosia and nectare both appear in myth and literature as divine confections that were guaranteed to satisfy the hunger and or thirst of any immortal resident of Mt Olympus.
Whilst Berwick and surrounds is not Mt Olympus, our aim of ambrosia is that it is seen as a place where the purchasing of fine quality food and beverage products is not only available, but is easy to do. We wish to remain competitive in our pricing, and fast and accurate in our service. At the same time encouraging our patrons to stay and enjoy the ambience of the restaurant over coffee, meals, wine or whatever else they feel like on the day.
Our social responsibly is important to us. We will endeavour to ensure we are constantly searching for new ways to improve our community through participation in local events, the sponsoring of local artists and performers, as well as local produce suppliers.
Take a step inside, and relax. Ponder over the menu and let our wait staff guide you through this unique style of dining, complimenting your tapa selection with the finest in beverage selections. Grab a 'flat bread' or 'tostada' whilst lingering over the selection on offer. Select a 'tapa' or two to commence, 'share plates' work brilliantly also. Lighter meals are available for the delicate, more substantial for the robust. Wander over to the food store to take a peek at our delicious patisserie, or order another glass of cabernet with your selection of fromage. Mostly for us, enjoy your moment, enjoy your friends and enjoy your self.

When ever I'm over that side of town Ambrosia is where I'll meet friends. Have been going since they opened over 6yrs ago and food and service is always of a high standard
Wether its for breakfast, lunch, tapas, dinner, the food is always of the highest quality, presentation appealing, plenty of dishes to choose from. The staff are friendly and curtis. I love coming back to Ambrosia whatever the occassion is and I highly recommend Ambrosia Cafe and Bar.

The Service is fantastic, they greet you the second you walk in the door. The staff are professional yet friendly. The atmosphere is modern yet relaxed. The food is beautiful, particularly the Tapas. The wine is also lovely and the staff are knowledable about their wine selection.

The menu selection is fantastic, the food is always 1st class and the staff are very friendly, we live just around the corner, but it still fells as though we are not in the same suburb
The food is dynamic and really fresh. Their chief obviously likes to create new interesting menu items. The tapas is to die for. The manager always remembers you and takes the time to have a chat. Which I think is really important to build a rapoor with your patrons. Very kid friendly, their own menu and plenty of colouring paper and pencils to occupy them while waiting for their meals. Service is exceptional.

We love Ambrosia as it has a great variety, and they also do an awesome breakfast. Their menu is great and atmosphere is brilliant, and they have great beer on tap.
The food is always cooked how we like it. Nothing is to much trouble when ordering a meal. The staff are great. Every meal is at a good price and i have never had a bad meal yet. Great place to eat.

the food is always magnificent and the service impeccable - and they maintain this every time we have been and thats why we go there so very often! Clearly the best in Victoria!
The staff are very friendly and as for the food well it is superb! It is very close by and parking is not a problem and you can eat any time of the day every day!
The dining experience at Ambrosia's is perfect every time which is the reason why my Partner and I continue to dine there. The Porterhouse and eye fillet steaks are always cooked to perfection, exactly the way we ordered it. The produce is always fresh and they regularly make slight changes to their menu which is nice when you often dine at your favourite restaurant. The restaurant also provide excellent service to go with their excellent food. The staff are always on the ball, are friendly and are happy to make requests to the kitchen. On an occasion when dining at Ambrosia's I was craving a fettuccini carbonara but it wasn't on the menu and the kitchen were more than happy to make one up for me. My partner and I are always recommending it to our friends and family and have not had one bad comment made by any of them once they'd been there and now, they too recommend it to their friends. I am voting for Ambrosia's as it is the only restaurant I have EVER been to that I am guarenteed a meal, cooked exactly the way I like it and the way I asked for it, at a reasonable price with great friendly service. They definately deserve to win!
The food is always well presented, of good quality & very good value for money. The staff are very efficient & they make you feel comfortable & nothing is too much trouble. All in all it is a pleasant experience & the menu is wide & varied, accomodating different tastes.

Fabulous menu, always well-cooked. Delicious food that I can't do at home easily which is what I look for in a meal when I go out. Lovely ambience, either outside on the terrace or inside by the fire. Friendly service.

Ambrosia is not mean't for people under the age of 30 as you are looked down on and treated as a second class citizen, the qulaity of service is appaling, Was accussed for putting a hair in my own oysters with out any apology, If a free meal was what I wanted I would off gone to Mcdonalds.
Food and Service are always great, only complaint - I'm not too sure about the communal salt dishes on the tables...... Try the Ambrosia Burger - Great !!!
Every time we visit the food is always of high standard and the service is excellent. great for group booking, even had itemed bill listed as customer 1 etc. for each person which makes it so much easier to pay for at end of the night instead of having to sort out who had want. Would have to be one of my favourite restaurants. Would recommend the lemon salt Calamari with the side salad Carol
