Is the worlds best bread n butter pud back on the menu ??

When we were there for breakfast, we were told that there is a table turn around time of 1.5 hrs. We were told to finish off our food and leave as soon as possible. We were shock as we were not told of this when we made the book nor were we told when we made the order. The food took a very long time to come to the table which was part of the reason why we were there for a long time. The waiter acknowledged and apologised for this but insisted that the 1.5 hrs was a policy they have. We were very disappointed. So, if you would like to have a 1.5 hrs meeting in this restaurant, please keep in mind that you will be kicked out.

Let's be fair. Bite to Eat is a good place to catch up and have coffee or more from the menu, but I too have been there and their service is WAY below par!! They are sometimes rude to their customers and I can totally understand the warning above. I gave them a second chance but I too was once in this category!!!!

I didn't think it was that great. The food is pretty good but the coffee and service has always been average. Yeah, we took a kid in a pram once and we didn't fit despite advising of the pram when booking. I had to literally pick up the corner of a couch to tip it on it's side to get in. No assistance from staff to get back out!

I'm pretty sure I spend half my summer here, relaxing in the courtyard! The staff are great and really friendly - they always make time for a quick chat. The food is amazing and i'm in awe each time I try something new. Kudos to the chef!

I also love the food and the atmosphere and when I have been there with adults I have always found the service fantastic, however it is not very family friendly. I have felt quite unwelcome with my kids (2&7 years old) on several occassions even though my kids were well behaved (and no, I'm not a grump). A great grown up place to eat but leave the kids at home.

I have been many many times and the staff are always friendly, smiling and helpful - perhaps those complaining about the staff are the unfriendly and grumpy ones ? Food is also fantastic and different to all the other cafes in town and I just love the missed match furrniture and cultery. Keep up the great work. ps. for those who need it they also accommodate gluten free eaters without any fuss - hooray.

The menu is ORIGINAL, which is an absolute delight! And we are right at home with the decor; it makes for congenial company. If it existed, I'd be entering A Bite to Eat in a Best breakfast category as well.

Their eclectic style and fabulous food combine to make for a very memorable dining experience for friends, family and the palate.

WASTE YOUR TIME!!!! Because it truly is not a waste. Their breakfast is excellent, and it is very homey.

This place has a great atmosphere. HOWEVER, not only is the service terrible they have dreadful attitude to their customers and they are NOT family friendly. DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
