As an operator of a large Accommodation establishment I can always recommend Banc for good Service and excellent food , We dine there often and it rarely fails to disappoint . I know by the conversations in our Breakfast Room how often visitors to Swansea are impressed at the standard of Service , and the quality of the food and wine served. As the largest major town near one of Tasmania's main tourist Icons ( Wineglass Bay ) we have an incredible cross section of tourists staying with us , both IInternational and Domestic and they are usually very impressed .

Superb food, excellent service, changing menu, ability to adapt to special dietary needs, all this and more is what you find at The Banc. John & Lee provide a standard second to none. For a small local population (800) with an ever growing tourist trade The Banc is a shining example of how you don't have to live in a capital city to have the best food.

The travelling public are surprised to find such a high standard in a country Tasmanian town and the locals are more than happy to support such a venue. Over several years many of the locals have come to consider The Banc the place to eat well and enjoy good company.

Even if The Banc doesn't win an award this time round it has already won the hearts and tastebuds of many from far and near.

John Bailey is creative as well as being a top cook. The Banc has an excellent team and the service is second to none. The atmosphere is welcoming and good humoured. Nothing is too much trouble for Lee (front of house). There is really nothing to fault.
