Easy Christmas Shortbread

This simple recipe is great as a little Christmas gift for friends or cut into the shape of stars and hang on the Christmas tree.

Ingredients

  • 125g caster sugar
  • 125g cornflour
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 250g butter, melted

Method

  1. Combine dry ingredients.
  2. Add melted butter and stir to combine.
  3. Pour into an ungreased slice tin.
  4. Bake at 180C for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove from oven, cut into approximately 24 squares, sprinkle with caster sugar and prick each square with a fork.
  6. Turn oven down to 160C. Cook for another 15 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
