Banana Flambé


  • Knob butter

  • Banana

  • 50g caster sugar

  • ¼ cup red wine

  • 50ml brandy


  • 1.

    In warm frying pan melt butter, add banana cut lengthways and fry for about 1 minute.

  • 2.

    Add caster sugar to butter, not over the banana and swirl to dissolve, add red wine and swirl again and boil.

  • 3.

    Carefully turn bananas and add brandy.

  • 4.

    Serve with ice cream and mint leaf.
