Classic Raclette


Serves 4

Ingredients

Method

  1. Cook the potatoes in salted water on the skin and cut into cubes.
  2. Fry the bacon.
  3. Slice the salami, chorizo and ham.
  4. Slightly roast the tomato in the oven.
  5. Saute the mushrooms.
  6. Arrange the meat and vegetables on a large platter.
  7. Melt the cheese in front of an open fire and pour the melted cheese over the meat and vegetable of your choice.

    Yum....I really enjoy raclette. When I was in France my french host mother introduced me to raclette and I thought, wow, is that it? no need to do a lot of cooking? I love the melted cheese on the meats and when I came back to Sydney, everytime I see a raclette cooking set or raclette cheese, I have the urge to make it again.
