Banana Flambe


Serves 8

Ingredients

  • 8 Bananas (ripe)
  • 100g Castor sugar
  • 25g Butter
  • 250ml Orange juice
  • 100ml Jack Daniel

Method

  1. Peel the bananas.
  2. In a frying pan, melt the sugar and the butter together until light caramel.
  3. Then add the bananas until golden brown all over.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium, add the orange juice.
  5. Reduce to a sauce consistency, add the Jack Daniels and flambé.
  6. Place a banana on a plate with a scoop of ice cream and drizzle some sauce on top.
