Apple Cinnamon Tarts


A light and tasty desert. Simple to make and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 large golden delicious apple
  • 1 sheet ready rolled puff pastry.
  • 20grams melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon sugar
  • 1/4 cup apricot jam (warmed)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to hot (200 /220 degrees celcius fan forced)
  2. Peel core and halve the apple. Slice apple thinly
  3. Cut pastry sheet in halves to form 2 rectangles
  4. Place the pastry on a greased oven tray
  5. Overlap the the apple slices down the centre of the pastry halves.
  6. Brush the apple with butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar.
  7. Bake tarts in a hot oven for approximately 15 minutes or until pastry is browned.
  8. Brush tarts with apricot jam.

this is a quick and easy desert and can be served as is. our grandchildren love iit served with iice cream.
